Funny, a game about Robots has gotten people to act the most human..Sacrificing all that hard work for some random person. That's pretty incredible.

Wasn't the game about robots basically evolving into humans and facing the same existentialism issues that we have to deal with every day? And that, maybe, for all their technical splendor, advanced physical and mental ability, and immortality, at the end of the day humanity was the pinnacle of existence after all.

Thats what happened to me some hours ago. I made it to the Square Enix section and sh*t just got real... i never failed in that game but this time it kicked my bum reall hard. after retrying 12 times i got a help request. God bless those guys sacrificing theirselfes. Gonna do that as well after hitting 100%
P.S.: Now I know why japan had a release date 1-2 weeks before the US / EU release so they can beat that boss and sacrifice themselfes and help us because we are never able to keep up with that bullet hell action...

Life is a never ending circle.
But the endings don't matter. It's all about the struggle within the circle.

I've got a strange lack of attachment to my save data, on anything.
I've lost seriously developed Minecraft worlds literal dozens of times. I have over 2000 hours, I've definitely created at least 50 worlds, yet I only have 2 now.
I'd probably gladly give up my save data if it actually helped someone, and wasn't just to make space for a new save, however this is the first game to leave a real impact on me, so I'm not certain I'd let it go as easily.

The final credit bullet hell game is designed to be completed with a group of small "triangles" shooting a wall of bullets in order to kill "bosses" faster. I will delete my saves because I had about 6 total strangers helping me through the final credit bullet hell game. After my game is deleted, my small "triangle" will appear in someone else's game no matter where s/he is, assisting that person through the final 2 minutes of bullet hell. I spent nearly 130 hours with this game and I don't regret deleting my save data. The final achievement I had left to get was the platinum trophy but what made this truly worth it was the fact that I could help someone else, just like the ones who helped me. That final trophy was named thank you. I remember crying after that and looking at the new title screen. It asked me if I wanted to start a new game. I turned off the console. One story, one playthrough, one save file, was more that enough for this lifetime. Thank you Yoko Taro.

The final boss can be beat alone. The Bullet Hell section before the question to sacrifice your data changes, as far as I understand from what I could gather (which isn't that much, but seemingly a little above the average).
Let's just say that the true ending ends with all playable characters "alive", for once. Of course, both due to being machines and the conditions of the ending (which I won't dwell on), the three aren't literally alive.

I just did this yesterday, and I cried like a baby. My amazing girlfriend was there for emotional support, and I felt so silly crying that I just deleted 57 hours of game time. I had gotten all the side quests, endings, weapons, and upgrades, but never caught all the fish, found every archive, or did the final level 99 arena dev challenges, whatever they were.
I had given up all that work for a total stranger. It was bittersweet and really emotional, as I'm usually a completionist when it comes to games like this. But this time, it didn't matter. I felt like I had to help someone else. It didn't matter if not every stone was uncovered, because I had an amazing time with what I had done.
I don't know if I'll ever be able to play this game again, knowing what I do now. It's in the trifecta of nearly perfect existential and philosophical gaming experiences that I wouldn't trade the world for, alongside Outer Wilds and The Talos Principle. I can now look back on my experience and say that I'm happy with my decision, even if it didn't really matter in the grand scheme. But fuck the grand scheme.

If so, your game saves get uploaded/updated in the cloud every day (i think or is it every time you play the game, dunno) and this is also enabled by default.
