Ottomans had Armenian citizens for centuries. They could have eliminate them before if they really wanted it. They were pretty inclusive and gave them much autonomy.
Anyway, Armenian genocide is sad. But, will you point your fingers to your Orthodox Russia for genocide of Crimean Tatars, Chechens, other Caucasian Muslims? Orthodox Serbs massacred 7000+ Bosnians in Sebrenica in 1990s only because they were Muslims. Will you denounce with same vigour?

Google search "1955 pogrom istanbul", select images and see for yourselves the treatment of the Greek Orrhodox minority by the Turks and how the 200,000 strong community 100 years ago was diminished to around only 2000, mostly elderly, today. So having churches while at the same time having driven out or exterminated the actual minority communities is just for show and for touristic purposes (to make money out of the monuments).

Beautiful. As a Pakistani we should learn this from Turkey. I remember grandfather who is now no more used to say there was a Jewish synagogue in my hometown called the Bani Israil synagogue but once Israel was formed muslims turned some of their hatred of Israel towards Jews living in Pakistan. Many Jews fled because of anti semitism. And in place of the synagogue a shopping mall or market was built. Many Jews in Pakistan still live under fear and hide their identity because of anti semitism. Situation is better for other faiths but still not as good as in Turkey!

    Europe is mostly becoming Atheist.
in UK more than 50% of British citizens say they have no religion. Only 1% of young people identify as Church of England and Atheism is growing, survey finds. 52% of British citizens say they do not belong to any religion, compared with 31% in 1983 when the BSA (British Social Attitudes) survey began tracking religious belief. The number of people identifying as Christian has decreased from 66% to 38% in the same period.~
    ~
Also Eastern Germany is perhaps the least religious region in the world. Atheism is embraced by young and old, though even more so by younger Germans. A recent study called Beliefs About God Across Time and Countries found that 52.1% of people asked whether they believed in God identified themselves as atheists. Indeed, the survey was unable to find a single person under the age of 28 in eastern Germany who believed in God.~
    ~
Same trend is happening outside of Europe in other Western countries like USA, Canada, & Austrailia~
    ~
It's silly to believe M0hammed riding flying d0nkey, splitting moon in half then putting it back together, talking ants, human boy magically replaced by a lamb (Abraham son Ismail), evil talking snake telling Adam and Eve to eat forbidden apple, Noah's ark (gathering 2 of every animal species on Earth then putting them on a ship thousands of years ago. Estimates of how many non-marine species exist range anywhere from 5 million to 130 million! how they were fed during is another issue), jinns, 'angels' not entering the home of someone who owns a dog, Jesus magically turning water into wine, walking on water, curing lepers simply by t0uching them, Moses parting the sea, 72 virgins, ect.~
    ~
Please grow up and stop believing in silly superstitions like religion. All religions, Gods, ect were created by humans. And all of them are false. There is no God and there is no afterlife. All rich devel0ped western countries are becoming Atheist. Research 'Nihilism' , 'Efilism' and 'Anti Natalism'. Life is ultimately pointless suffering (especially for the poor) and it would be better to have never been born. Not just for humans, but also for every other sentient living being that ever had the misfortune of being born

There is justice in the provision of Allah. I am a muslim turk, i heard from my elders that turks, armenians, kurds, greeks... they all were living in peace for centuries. They were good friends. But after the masonic coups in the empire, you all know the results... May Allah give us the strength like our ancestors to bring back the peace and justice to these lands, we always pray for that. Ottoman traveller Evliya Çelebi described them as very hard working. Jews left Turkey after creation of Israel to settle in the country Britain gave to them, didn't get genocided or something. Turkey even hosted Jewish scientists from 3rd Reich because Einstein wrote a letter to Atatürk after Hxtler rised to power in Germany.
And Turkey still has Ortodox Christians, their number is less because at 1920's Republic of Turkey and Kingdom of Greece made a population exchange where the Muslims/Turks outside of Western Thrace and settled after 1912 was send to Turkey and Christians outside of Konstantiniyye(İstanbul) and came after 1912 was send to Greece.
