    "Every year Moscow holds a traditional sports parade in its famous Red Square. Each of the Soviet Republics; Russia, Ukrania, White Russia, Azebaidjan, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbek, Tadjik, Turkmenia, Kazakh and Kirghiz send representatives to take part in this festival."
    Massive parade. Man and woman hold up hammer and sickle. Sports people from various ethnic groups in the Soviet Union cheer. CU Joseph Stalin claps from the podium. Various shots of the crowd clapping. Young people march in parade carrying flags.
    Intertitle reads: "La Parade sportive - The Parade begins."
    Massive parade - people carry flags, banners and pictures of Soviet leaders including Stalin and Lenin. CU Stalin. More shots of the parade. View of dignitaries on Kremlin, including Mikoyan and Molotov. More views of the men and women in the parade. Women carry little children. CU Stalin. More shots of the parade. Among the floats is a human powered tank. People are towed on skis behind motorcycles over the cobblestones of Red Square. All manner of sports are represented - football, swimming, football, skiing, boxing etc.
    Mass PT / Keep fit demonstration. CUs of various sports demonstrations in Red Square. Folk dancing demonstrations, wrestling demonstrations, ballet, dancing with swords, rhythmic gymnastics. Sports and dance from many republics are represented. More CUs of Stalin are intercut with parade.
    Note: Researcher indicates this film may be dated between 1937 and 1938, as Ambassador Joseph E. Davies mentions such a parade taking place in those years.

    Did they have these parades during Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933, when millions of people were dying of artificial starvation created by Moscow?
