Lyrics
Words have come from men and mouths
But I can't help thinking that I've heard the wrong crowd
When all the water is gone my job will be too
And I'm trying to leave something behind
Money is free but love costs more than our bread
And the ceiling is hard to reach
Oh the future ahead is broken and red
But I'm trying to leave something behind
This whole world is a foreign land
We swallow the moon but we don't know our own hand
We're running with the case but we ain't got the gold
Yet we're trying to leave something behind
My friends I believe we are at the wrong fight
And I cannot read what I did not write
I've been to his house, but the master is gone
But I'd like to leave something behind
There is a beast who has taken my brain
You can put me to bed but you can't feel my pain
When the machine has taken the soul from the man
It's time to leave something behind
Oh money is free but love costs more than our bread
And the ceiling is hard to reach
Oh the future ahead is already dead
So I'm trying to leave something behind
I got this feeling that I'm still at the shore
And pockets don't know what it means to be poor
I can get through the wall if you give me a door
So I can leave something behind
Oh wisdom is lost in the trees somewhere
You're not going to find it in some mental gray hair
It's locked up from those who hurry ahead
And it's time to leave something behind
Oh money is free but love costs more than our bread
And the ceiling is hard to reach
When my son is a man he will know what I meant
I was just trying to leave something behind
I was just trying to leave something behind - Hudba
Every time I rewatch the Accountant I look for this song again. June 5 2024
Person : After watching The Accountant what did you do?

Song for perfect end
I am addicted to this song. Sean would never win America HasTalent, but his voice is so pure, and honest and painful. not sure why, but this song speaks to me at a deep, deep level.
i think he would win!
@@kahlesskronos2721 he wouldn't. Those shows like singers that can hit a falsetto and have a "clean" voice. Sean's voice is honest, but that's not enough to win one of those competitions. But we know he's better
@@Memorex996 are these the facts. if so then they shouldn't discriminate for 1 thing and i could argue that half the people that get on there those that are singers that is have cheated because theres is evidence.
Sean Rowe can't win America's got talent. The don't award posthumously
Nobody winning this, really has...Otherwise he would'nt...
glad I saw the Accountant, love this song.
best song to the end a movie ever. Accountant :)
The Accountant Movie brought me here, i just finish watching it, the ending was AWESOME!
Some songs I immediately become attached to. Some songs just speak to me in the Manner
I can't explain
I'm not trying to follow you to the end of the world"
"I'm just trying to leave something behind
This part is just wonderful
Grew up w asbergers and this song really matches how it feels. It's like you're in a pit inside yourself u get stuck in all you want to do is reach the ceiling and be a person grow up and leave something behind... Hard fights make hard warriors
@thomasfinney. WOW. How well put. I've felt this way most of my life. I never became a hard warrior though.
How many of us, when we look into our selves, in those dark corners of our soul, are trying to leave something behind. Me for sure.
This song gets me quite emotional. Which makes me think about a lot. Relief. Sweet sweet relief

Just done watching Accountant. Superb film, loved it. And the song at the end.. totally nailed it
This is why parents and mostly mentors try to sacrifice everything for us, to try and teach us how to live our lives the way we should want, to be good to other people, to never give up hope and faith. All they want and wish is to leave something behind.
I miss you dad. I am sorry I wasn’t as good as a son as I should have been.
Beautiful lyrics and what a fine voice..

That moment you Shazammed inside the cinema just to get the title of the song. And know we're here.
In bed after the movie, firefox on android phone, song on loop after forcing desktop version. I m turning of my screen and will drift off soon to wander my mind, but just wanted to leave this comment behind.

That scene when Dana tares the dogs playing poker painting and you see that little corner of the Pollock painting underneath. That got me good. Sad, in a good way.

just finished accountant and was blessed with this gem. such a good song.
The Accountant brought me here! Great movie! Great tune!
I loved this movie. People that say Affleck can't act are misguided
I honestly think that its just that he's usually in projects that arent a good fit for him. This was absolutely perfect for him
I agree with you Bob. I'm not a huge Affleck guy - but, "this" movie was perfect for him. Cause, well, he could be "flat" throughout cause it was his character.
One of the best acting directors in years Gone baby gone,Argo the Accountant he was excellent in ....
Michael Zaragoza what made the movie great was that Ben wasn't acting.
Michael Zaragoza and yes a great choice for him, his true personality was on display in this movie.
The question you need to ask yourself is this, Where does the darkness end and the Light begin? When you can answer that, then you will have found the Truth and the true meaning to Life.
@MadMaxMFP. There is no innate meaning of Life. I am guessing you are thinking of what a good or inspiring meaning to our lives would/should/could be. We are not asked to be born but do what we will with what we have. Things happen that people plan and work for and then other things happen, good things, tragedies, trauma, new life and death. All that then we just die and what we leave behind are the good AND BAD memories others have of us as well as our accomplishments, such as they are. I think you mean bad or evil when you say dark, or even death. And light is all the good. I don't believe that nor do I think that has anymore to do with the true meaning of life--as if there were just one. It's also true there are no good guys or bad guys, no light or dark...just a bunch of guys for whom some days are better than others. Then it's over. We are no different than a horse, cat or flower, we live, we die. But the world around us keeps on going. When it's going, I want what I leave behind to go around with it.
On another note, I was intrigued by his back story and the way he grew up to control everything and became so flat and emotionless. I didn't quite understand the pain he inflicted upon himself with the loud music and strob lights other than to practice enduring stressful or painful situations and to hold his own. The clock was another way to control things. I found this to be very authentic from my experience. Coming out of a that kind of trauma as a kid it is typical that controlling everything that does go wrong or COULD go wrong is really important to people with autisim, OCD, and other disorders. I've seen this with my son and how as as child he lined up his cars and dinausaus like the little kid at the end. I love the message that maybe we don't know how to listen. Very inspiring. Great song and film.
Loved the film...hence the music......!!
