Do you have any experiences with Unity and Interconnectedness? Then please send me a trip report at disregardeverythingisay@gmail.com or type out anything you can remember of your experience as a response to this comment! I have been collecting accounts of experiences with this effect for a long time now in an effort to increase my understanding of it's triggers, with the lofty goal of one day being able to use psychedelic compounds to reliably induce it. Thanks! :)

Got level 4 after taking LSD and weed. I basically felt like, everyone is me (all sentient beings) since I’m just an instance of the same thing and all the suffering and joy, of everyone is extremely important, as much as my own. I achieved unity at 19 years old on roughly 750ug of LSD, my third time ever doing psychedelics. Previous trips were 100ug and 250ug. I had what I would describe as an extremely violent ego death, where I could physically feel my flesh being ripped off of my body. It was like each cell in my body had a string attached to it and these strings were being pulled out at a million times per minute until there was nothing left of me. Then it was as if my consciousness became the environment and I was now nature itself and my body and mind was simply a vessel within the environment that the nature was currently utilizing as a way of seeing itself. All processes that were happening around me, at the time other people, animals, cars, and other technology, were being directed by a unifying force that was me, but everything happening in my individual consciousness that the everyday normal person would call "me" usually, while still there, was so obviously not a creation of my own and was simply a small component of that's absolutely crushing, dominating force of nature which I had merged with. I was completely unprepared for this experience and I attempted suicide during the trip because I was afraid that I had lost my mind and I would never be the same. It ended up leaving me worse off for a while because my friends and family didn't understand and thought that the things I was talking about after were genuine lunacy, which left me feeling extremely isolated and questioning my own sanity. After really diving deep into this topic and the philosophy surrounding it, it has helped me immensely and I've since been able to integrate that experience in a positive way. It's hands down the most profound and powerful experience that is possible to achieve, I genuinely would have a hard time believing anything could possibly compare.

I never tried it before ( but definitely been on my bucket list) but I smoke weed, which is absolutely not the same 😅 but my mind have been thinking this way for a long, long time. Nearly 30 years old and I still don't get it. I studied quantum physics for years, trying to understand the "quantum field" only to find out it's literally Aether just reworded 😅 I had to swallow so many bitter pills on my journey lol but that's good, and humbling. I've had two questions that drove me ever since I was a child. What is, I? What the fuck is reality? I found the answer to reality, it's magnetism. Everything is, everywhere, everyone, the space within space, the voids themselves, even "nothingness" is all the exact same thing. The aether, the quantum field. Which just so happen to be the shape of a toroidal sphere, which just so happen to be exactly what we all have around us, another field surrounding us about 8 ft all around us, individually. Also our planet has it, and even each cell individually. Everything, everyone is just this field, but expressed differently. Much like water having different states, but still being just water. Aaaannnyywaayyyy I didn't mean to write you a book, I'm so sorry 😅 I just felt when you said you felt, alone, misunderstood, and even taken as a lunatic. To me, all of this is just common knowledge, considering I've spent my early life passionately studying these things, I often forget that other people simply don't share that same interest. Even when I talk to " deep minded" folks who talk to me about these theories that I've not only thought about, but had been actively studying into for at least a decade, so when I talk to those who likes to think about what they call " stoner thoughts" or deep thoughts, I'm already over a decade wayyyy past that, and it's frustrating to me because all I want to do is open people's minds, but I can't simply cram over ten years of research in a 3 minute conversation, they don't even know just how shallow Thier "deep thoughts" are lol but learning there's still folk like you, and Even a whole community of folks just like us, really sparks a comforting flame in my heart! I appreciate you, and really appreciate that you were willing to share your story!!

I find it funny how people would think you are crazy, only because they only know this reality and thats all they will ever know. Us psychonauts are the lucky bunch who get to understand that life is the biggest trip and once you have had those mad experiences on these substances can you really ever truly realise that. I find myself still becoming extremely introspective years after my strong mushroom trips. Iv been to level 4. I saw the world for the illusion that it is, that i created. My parents were just constructs of my mind to represent who I was as a whole, each of them a different side of myself. My best friend, a very close replica of myself to accompany me in this illusion, so I would feel less alone while I experienced this thing I now saw for what it was. The world and my senses, were just a construct of my mind. None of it was true, and this creation of mine that I was experiencing all this time was just a coping mechanism for what was truly going on. I was the same as inanimate objects. I find myself still contemplating and being able to place myself back in that mindset and outlook when i contemplate peacefully. It is so fascinating to explore my mind, in a state that is not psychedelic induced. But it truly is distracting from "real life". I find myself just wanting to think more than do.
I also came to the realization that "God" was everything going on all at once. Not some mystical man

You have no idea how fascinating and important the work you're doing is! Please know that the research of obscure things such as these is not just "a weird thing you are into". It is as valid and important philosophical work as any other. Me and my friends would frequently use your frameworks to describe such phenomena. As a person on the spectrum I identify with having "one weird seemingly useless superpower" (I think I've seen you describe your work somewhere in this manner) but diverging from the masses and focusing on those things is what paves way for progress in the fields of science that are still in their infancy.
Hell Djikstra lay groundwork for a lot of computer science concepts before the computer was a thing... because he felt he should do it.

It’s like the things I struggle with explaining sometimes.
There’s so many different levels of emotions and experiences such things bring so much balance to it all. The feeling of that much freedom is beyond normal experiences, the level of understandings I can’t bring back are worlds of their own. Our minds are immensely powerful and they should be deeply deeply studied further.

For anyone struggling to reconcile these experiences with everyday "material reality", I humbly suggest you give Bernardo Kastrup a listen. He approaches these metaphysical inquiries from a wholly rational perspective, but does so to argue for a robust idealist/nondual understanding which absolutely dismantles our modern default physicalist/materialist ontological precepts. His work is not only completely compatible with scientific understanding, but actually far more consonant with the most advanced understanding of the kinds of quantum physics quandaries that tend to create unsolvable problems for materialists. And despite coming from this completely rationalist vantage point, his work recapitulates the same understands as put forward by traditional mystical teachings the world over.
I recognize this sounds like a fan boy post (which it is lol) but knowing how helpful his work has been for me, I would be remiss not to share it with "others" (as illusive as such a thing may be), especially in a space as fruitful as Josie Kins has cultivated here. Happy trails everyONE :)

@@josikinz It's currently the primary opposing view to the no-self view put forward by Metzinger. In fact Metzinger himself has also argued against it in a paper. Rather than viewing the self as an ontologically substantive, process-independent entity, it instead views it more modestly as a structural feature of intentional consciousness, and is identified as the subjective sense that experience presents itself *for somebody*. The line of argument is basically that it accounts for the sense of ownership we have towards our experiences. Some philosophers that argue for it include Dan Zahavi, Dorothée Legrand, and Marcello Ghin. In my opinion, this understanding of self is so deflationary that it shouldn't really be understood as a "self" in the first place.

Enlightenment is literally just the realization of number 4, one can understand this intellectually without "feeling" it within their whole heart and being (which psychedelics can help with) which is different than experiencing enlightenment. But intellectual enlightenment can help change ones experience much for the better, you are the universe experiencing itself, this isn't some cool woo woo, this is proveably scientific fact, and even with your ego you ARE still everything else and learning to go with the flow can help you understand and live within and even begin to influence the universe like neo in the matrix (but irl and with a lot of practice because of all the barriers of reasonable and learned skepticism of this fact)
Edit: not to mention all the other versions of us not aware of this that you have to push through like syrup in order to actually do anything. The more people become enlightented the easier and more powerful everyone will experience and influence our universal existence

Easing your mind is the key to experiences things like Oneness. You don't really get there by logic. That's why spiritual people meditate so much. I experienced Oneness often to different extends and weed was enough to get me there by itself very soon, without me even seeking that experience consciously. For me it was probably enough that I already heard and believed such concepts before ever even trying out weed. What you believe is, what you will perceive. Actually for me it can even happen to some degree through the concept of Nofap - without using any Drugs. Getting to this state without drugs is kind of my ultimate goal

A sudden Level 4 story here:
I once experienced this after having thought about some words shared by Alan Watts during his lectures. I did not have listened to it for a couple days, but I had thought about some key elements of it, that left me baffled for half a minute or so while I was sitting and waiting for someone and I felt like there was no seperation between me and the world whatsoever as if I was not just a part of a picture but I was essentially the bigger picture as much as everything else was around me. I felt as if existence itself is eternal and that as long there is a conscious being around there will be something there calling itself an "I". - I had to laugh out loud about it which got me uncomfortable realising that I was just standing there blankly staring around and then suddendly laughing to myself to anyone that would have looked at me curiously for some time.

Have you read his book? The first half is dedicated to pre-birth fetal experiences that I have never heard anyone talk about being a regularly occurring thing under the influence of psychedelic compounds. His transpersonal effect section is extremely psuedo-scientific and talks about experiences with past lives, ancestors, clairvoyancy, directly communing with your DNA and other microscopic biological factors of the body that have no way of signaling things like protein mechanics to the central nervous system, kundalini chakra serpents or something, etc, etc. He seems to present these as something that are not hallucinations, but as something genuinely real outside of the human mind. I would also say that the majority of the individual transpersonal effects he describes are all simply manifestations of hallucinating alternate lives, like the distinction between hallucinating being a direct genetic ancestor or being a representation of a specific ancient society, for example. The book was fun and I would recommend it, but as the leading transpersonal experience ontology, I almost lost my mind reading it hahaha.

So happy your channel found me . Another superb video. You are indeed correct in your assessment of the construction of ego and self and the amount of dosage is not exclusive or dependent to having this experience. I had a profound experience on a high dosage but recently took 100ugs of LSD and had a complete immersion into my environment. You’ll love this. After having a panic attack which I now know was built on my ego and fear of control I took a benzo and pop it was gone which proved clearly that the acid was not the problem at all . So I put my ear plugs in and put The Dark Side of Oz (Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon in synch with the Wizard of Oz) as the movie played out I realized I was not watching the movie I was in the movie. The tornado 🌪 was my panic and the yellow brick road was filled with hope and love . My external environment quickly transformed around me as a larger version on the movie and I found myself laughing a lot . When I was younger I never really laughed while tripping now it happens all the time. Anyway there was this group of women not far away from me and I could see right into their souls . It was a telepathic like state . I said something to that effect and one of them heard me and looked right at me . She knew. It was like I saw her naked. And there I was not just a observer but also a participant too . There was no boundaries to my being. The film the environment the people were all fused into one experience. Of course I know I wasn’t truly in Oz and all but my point is on just a above threshold dose I had a full blown experience of inter connectedness. It was amazing. I learned so so much . Especially about Oz. You know there’s a Yin Yang made up of the yellow brick road and the Dias in the center of munchkin land? It’s there and when I saw Glinda standing on the dias I saw it and was totally blown away. But I digress. My main point is this connectedness doesn’t need be triggered by a break through on DMT necessarily it can happen on really light doses but I do agree that some people are more open than others. I tap into it with meditation these days too . I honestly thought I was a little crazy until I found your channel. Thank you for helping me feel better.

I was blissfully blown away when i first hit level 4. It was early on in my sittings with Dimitri. When i was using/treating it as a most blessed plant sacrament. I was also practicing daily meditation, into Buddhism, eating/living very healthy diet and i would fast before my 'ceremonies'. I kept wanting to partake, but Universe kept sending signs I should wait. So about a week went by of me eating 'light' until the night i was shown by spirit/universe that the time was right.
I will email more details. I should also mention that during this phase/time of my explorations i was also blessed with a visit to that space that lasted well over an hour. I am still trying/wanting to recreate those conditions/events, but have yet to successfully do so. Sometimes I feel/wonder if maybe i 'got the message, and should hang up the phone' 🤔

When I was 10 I had vivid hallucinations while medicated from a sever illness. The hallucinations continued long after I was well and taking no medication. Sometime it was scary other times I experienced intense Interconnectedness with all life. Humans, bugs, plants... even dead people, and people who have not been born yet. When I became an adult and began to experiment with psychedelic's I found strong doses of psilocybin and Lsd created very similar experiences to the hallucinations and waking dream states I had as I child.

The very first time I did mushrooms, I found myself playing the original Super Mario Bros. I had also taken a few hits of my TCH pen, which I did regularly at the time. I was playing it on my Nintendo Switch and the strangest thing happened. Within seconds of me pushing start and running through level 1-1 like normal, it was like my consciousness astral projected itself into Mario, and I WAS Mario. It was so strange because yes, I was now Mario, but I was still observing reality through my eyes, so I was looking down on myself. I didn’t know if I was just super focused or what, but It was truly bizarre watching myself AS MARIO jump over pipes and goombas. This is the most immersed I had ever been playing video games by far. I began to ponder what it would be like to trip in VR. This all happened right before my comedown, and after I came back to my living room from doing something, I wasn’t able to recreate my oneness with Mario again. It was then when I REALLY began to contemplate consciousness and reality. If you guys ever get the chance to, join Mario in the mushroom kingdom for a fun trippy time! I think it is also hilarious that my form of psilocybin intake was from a Mario-themed one-up chocolate bar lmfao

It's funny how effective the One is at forgetting its Oneness, while it's ever always One, anyway, among all its clever distractions attracting away away. Knowing Oneness too well can kind of "kill the buz" of all this intense belief in separate self and separate others and all the madness around full imersion in duality play. So the univers returns to the truth over and over only to then wish to forget it, but then later wish to remember. And that is perhaps the essentially duality if there ever was One.

whether aspects of the universe know about their connection to all all things or not, maybe the universe didn't care, because it couldn't have before the existence of conscious beings which can construct the concept of desire
We were all just swept up in the ebbs and flows of causality (the phenomenon of neurological development through natural selection specifically, the entire system of cause and effect in whatever system exists to accommodate it all generally) such that we developed this illusion of separation, no wishing happened, because it happened simply as a force of nature too complex for a single mind to comprehend

I feel that it can be fairly easily explained as an acknowledgment that you are your brains generative model of reality. The agent- the sense of self, can dissolve or break down when paid sufficient attention to, and this leaves us with the realisation that we are simply our brain, and the entire universe and everything in it, as we perceive it and interact with it, is created and exists only in our brain. “I’m at one with everything” can be translated into “I am my brains generative model of the universe”
I think a lot of stuff can be better understood through the Bayesian predictive processing theory of perception.

A lot of religions, especially new age seem to be based off of things people see while intoxicated. That itself should be something to question heavily… Even with THC, it floods the brain with dopamine/serotonin. You think you’re a genius because every thought you think floods you with feel good emotions so of course you’ll think that every conclusion you come to is supported by the universe. A lot of people will think they’re so smart and will write their thoughts down only to laugh at them later when sober. We really should study the effects of all of these substances, especially psychedelics before we claim that we see the universe through them. There very well could be solid reasons to debunk it all. It could very well be simply a mild poisoning that feels good. We could take that and use it as a tool for healing the brain rather than calling it “god” and not questioning it further. Especially when people ask the “entities” they encounter questions they do not know the answer to, such as math equations and the beings cannot answer them. It is easy to hallucinate a conversation.

It wasn't so much a feeling I experienced during a trip as it was some profound experiences I had during the afterglow period. It was about 2 years ago on 2 and a half hits of gelatin LSD. I've always been more of an indoors person that never really appreciated nature, but after that very enjoyable trip I found I enjoyed sitting outside afterwards. During that time from just connecting to my senses and paying attention to the world around me, I had my first feeling of what I believe to be spirituality. I felt an extreme connection to the wind in particular, at some points believing it to be communicating with me or trying to comfort me either as its own entity or as an extension of some greater consciousness. It was then I started genuinely researching pantheism and panentheism trying to put a label on my new beliefs. It was honestly one of the most important and personally meaningful moments of my life that opened up a new world to me.

I find it weird how I could only reach level 3 via drug consumption but was able to reach level 4 in my sleep while pretty much being sober aside from taking 10mg memantine that same day. A few days ago I woke up from sleep in the middle of the night but it felt like I came back from the dead. I was experiencing being literally everything, everywhere happening all at once. I remember being so confused at waking up in what I call my own body and thinking to myself that this is exactly what death feels like.
Level 3 was more fun. It happened to me on 300mg freebase DXM (I am very sensitive to it) and I went to the bathroom and ended up staring at myself in the mirror, but I was experiencing it as myself being the wall that sees itself in the mirror along with a human blocking my view. I could feel it with every atom that I was the wall at that moment.

I recommend a different route: use the psychedelics sparingly, and instead start with listening to "Mahamritunjaya mantra - Sacred Sound Choir, and "Om Namah Shivaya - Shivananda Adi" for 5 min each per day. She didn't discuss the nature of the "IT" (Sat-Chit-Ananda - Consciousness-Without-An-Object) that is the Essence of the universe itself. Don't seek the visions. Seek the Ananda (Bliss), of the seamless Oneness of the Metaverse.

Man I've been searching for comprehensive breakdown to concepts which had been enveloped in esoteric spiritual mysticism and this goes to show that it can be broken down quite well, divided into several categories and explored upon. It is interesting if adopting a unity/interconnectedness approach to every day life yields more benefits or negatives. Having a deep connection to your environment can yield great results when considering the effect it has on your outlook on life, death and the integration of the self into the whole as well as having more meaningful and fulfilling social relationships, though having this connection can also have its' drawback's as it could mean that those who wish to manipulate you can simply change your environment to suit their needs and make you more susceptible to their ideas.

You’re correct in that to go into a trip desiring something means you are probably never going to attain it unless you shed the attachment mid trio as a breakthrough and surrender. Refer to attachment and desire under religions such as Buddhism and also Backwards Law by Alan Watts. I liken these experiences to rising out of your body while desires and expectations are like a boat anchor holding you down. Only by dropping the anchor will you be set free 🙏❤️

Heyo, I want to say thankyou, because your approache to psychedelic expierience, that is very reflected and scientifically minded has shaped my understanding of my last (first) trip and is shaping my preparation for the next one. I'm trying to find a nonspiritual way, to appreciate psychedelics and the culture surrounding it, and your playing a big role rightnow (next to my personal anarchist philosophy and scientific knowledge) in figuring out how to do this. One big thing for me always was tho, that I don't really want to get to this point of egodeath where you see the conscious Oneness of everything as more then a metapher. Tho it is not necessarily harmful I don't wanna fall under a believe that after my personal understanding can not be an roughly accurate simplifying reflection of reality. I would really like to hear your argument why you believe this to be true. Egodeath for me is the only part of psychedelic experience that I genuinely can't make sense of and are scared of that I might get stuck in my bias and lose my ability to critically reflect on it.

i head a somewhere between lvl 3 and 4 unity expierience on as little as 200 ug lsd ( not a small dose though i think its quite low for inducing that kind of unity) I was walking in the woods and it felt like i was progressively melting into the trees and at some point i started perceiving me as being the whole forest and then nature as a whole. It was really beautiful and gave me a new appreciation for nature. when i slipped out of it i immediately started collecting trash with my bare hands in a quite manic way. since then i had this feeling of unity a few times again though it was never as intense as he first time even on higher dosages and in a more „spiritual“ or philosophic setting.
By the way thank you very much for this channel, i think the psychonaut community really needs some demystification of their experiences, and i also think your videos might offer some of the most intricate and understandable descriptions of the subjective effects, which is enourmously useful for interpreting expiernces as well as offering newcomers some solid ground. A video suggestion i would like to make is a video discussing the general differences between the subjective effects of different psychedelics like tryptamines, lysergamides and phenethyamines. Yeah. I've got a similar problem to yours. I've experienced level 4 on multiple occasions but the more knowledge I gained about it, the less often I've been able to achieve it. Because it can't be made into a concept, as it can't be related to anything due to it being everything, it simply can't be understood logically by the mind. It's our natural state and way of experiencing the world, however we tend to experience a false world lain over it consisting of thought objects and a false view of subject object created by our ability to use language. One of the best ways to get tastes of it is to see the world a baby would see it, at zero distance without labels. Instead of trying to see, just look. Rather than trying to listen, just hear. It's really seems like sometimes the "graceball bat" just hits you over the head sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. One thing I know that doesn't help is adding more concepts and labels to our experience. It's a subtractive process, anything new we learn non-experientially moves the goal post away. As does seeing a goal post or finish line or linear thinking or thinking in general. 😊
This exercise has been helping me: Close your fist then with your internal thought voice try to open it by commanding it. No matter how hard you think at it, your thoughts can't open it. After doing this a few moments open your hand. This is a good way to tell that your thoughts (your person) is just a construct of mind and not actually what's driving your meat car. It's a way to start a mediation inquiry where you look for the separate self.
