I lived in NYC during the Aughts, and my favourite thing to do at Christmas was to see an Alvin Ailey American Dance performance. I'm not even a dance person, but I loved loved loved that evening.

So many thoughts. Loved your outfit -- perfect, especially the blouse and earrings, but the shoes and purse too. That Smith Center is a treasure. Your makeup, both of you, was so professional. It is hard to compare anything to NYC and I fall into it all the time, to the detriment of LA and have to be careful not to do it with Angelenos in earshot. I have only been to the ballet her in LA once and it was lovely but not New York, LOL. I love how Butters listens to you with such understanding. I moved to Houston from New York and I can’t agree with you enough on pizza. Pizza isn’t the same 😅 And for eyelash extensions, as long as you don’t rub your eyelids they stay for a pretty long time. I recommend it 👍🏻

It’s the water in NYC. It affects the acidity/ alkalinity of the dough. It’s the same reason why bagels in NYC just kick the ass of all other bagels. It’s why there is a wicked crunch on the crust but it’s still soft inside.

I lived in NJ, but I now live in NC. So, I understand what you mean about finding a true NY-style pizza. Luckily, I found one that is very similar but does not quite measure up to the real deal. Also, both of you looked very nice for the day. You both make me miss my girlfriends because you two are so in sync with each other.

I've heard that the reason NY pizza tastes so different is b/c the dough is made with NY water, which is different than any other water. In my small town in SC, we have a pizzaria that imports NY city water to make their dough and it is really stellar. We just watched Violent Night last night, haha!

i LOVED eyelash extensions. i also have straight straight straight tilted down lashes. the problem for me was financial. i love make-up but was afraid to wear any bc i had to stretch out the life of my extensions as much as possible haha. if you have the time and don’t mind spending the money- they are addictive and made me feel like a princess. HOWEVER i will say- lift and tint is great especially after using revitalash. that stuff really helps my lashes. to the point that they’re long enough to almost curl up just a bit on their own. with a lift and tint they look bomb.
Love my eyelash extensions. They become an addiction. They are up keep but it’s just like keeping your nails up. Just another apt you make in your routine 😊

Do the lash extension! I've had them for years, people have no clue I have them. Mascara always ends up making my under eyes dark, so for me, it's very youthful.
