If Press Your Luck was an NES game (Mockup)

  • This video is fake. It is only an edit/mockup made as an interpretation as what a Press Your Luck game for the NES might have looked like. Asking for ROMs is redundant, as they don't exist.
In 1988, GameTek developed video game adaptations of the show Press Your Luck on NES and computers. While the MS-DOS version ended up releasing, the NES version never saw a release, despite being fully developed. Compared to the MS-DOS version, its graphics and sound were more faithful to the original show. No cartridges were said to be found, so it's abnormally rare and difficult to find.
The following year, on August 13th, 1989, some footage of the game was recorded. It was recorded by an unknown person named Jason, presumably in his bedroom. This is the only known footage of the game's existence. It's an eleven-minute recording, but the following has been cut down to over three minutes to show the gist of what the game would've been like if it released.
Alright, now that I've gotten the fake description out of the way, let's ramble on for a bit. So this is my first video for the new era of my channel! This is the kind of stuff I want to create and upload from now on, as I've lost all interest in my previous content. I'm hoping you guys will enjoy this as much as I did putting it together. As always, please leave any feedback or comments below!

Wow I wish this game did exist back when the original Nes System was around. But I'm wondering what might have been the reason why is never hit the stores in the first? Even if it was completed in the first place.

I have no clue why they didn't do a PYL NES game either. Maybe they didn't think it'd do well in the market? Or maybe there wasn't as much interest for a Press Your Luck NES game as there was for other game shows?

    That was so unbelievable
I wish you could make a full rom of the game to play online
And also I heard a website of a game making software called NES maker
    For windows computers
I think they also have a part of where you could do the hardware on a real cartridge
I wish I could play this on my nes classic
    It would be really cool
    Great job on it!
    No whammies!

    It's functional.
Also, shouldn't the video output be Channel 3 or 4? Most TVs during 89' would at the very least not support Composite, or even S-Video (it was about a year or two old at the time).

I like that idea. Unfortunately, it'd be time-consuming for me, and I want to focus on other things similar to this video. Maybe I will do it someday, but just not now. Hope you understand.
