- It's been a long time coming but we've finally run 8s in our Barra-swapped MX5. But the car still tested us, watch the video for the full emotional rollercoaster ride.

Mmmm since it seems to have more in it, why not keep pushing the limits some more, I wouldnt be surprised that with some more finetuning and good air it might dip into the 8.5s.

Mechanically your combo is staunch but as I've followed your lead up to getting into the 8sec zone , it's mostly the electrical/electronic gremlins that have been the fly in the ointment. However very consistent 9sec runs and the much needed tech support you have received during this mission, Scotty your determination and patience shines through 😊 Well Done Mate ! ! 👍🥇🏆
Someone has been a good boy this year, as Santa did an early flyby over Heathcote and dropped off a 8 second slip.

lol woah steady on baby steps let's get to the lower half of 8's before trying to chew off a 7. He would need a lot more tyre and power to crack 7's. Not impossible but every second down takes a lot more work.

It seems it’s got a lot more in it ! In the 60’ and on the gear changes also seems to be dropping too much rpm but you’re got your 8 now to move on to better times
Exactly what I was hearing as well. Fix the shift to snap into gear and 8s a lot easier.. well it will help anyway 😁🤟

well done mate! it definitely has more in it. The shift to 2nd is costing you a bit and it 'feels' like you might be able to launch at slightly higher rpm.
