With New cameras and their ability to zoom in on the action with extreme clarity the 2021 season certainly continues this tradition, with all 4 classes requiring 5 rounds of eliminations due to the enormous car count. As always enjoyed your video very much! My deepest heartfelt condolences for your loss of Cynthia! I was always pulling for her and a huge fan! Every time the Flower Power would line up I would call my wife in to watch Cynthia hammer the gears! What a lady! God Bless

Thank YOU SEGA for sharing these videos. I really like all the racers but among my very favorite is Troy Lightner's Shakn' Bacon '51 Henry J. That little car defines gasser's of yesteryear IMHO :)
I'm a lifetime dirt oval guy but went to this race and absolutely loved these cars. This is what drag racing should be!!

I'm guessing the reason you guys don't show any times and the scoreboards are off is because of tech? These cars look a LOT quicker than their rollbars allow.

AFX? why is there only a few for demo runs? Besides this, It seems to me that the A Gas is quicker, or is it not?
There are only 2 to 4 A/FX cars at each race so not enough to have eliminations. Yes the A/Gas cars are much quicker than the A/FX. In most cases the C/Gas cars are quicker.

What is the purpose to instruct the driver where to stop before they stage. Is it because drivers don't know how to stage?
Yea, same reason all NHRA professional drivers have someone helping them.
All jokes aside it helps the show go faster, they are all able of staging their self but it just takes a little longer and slows the action down. Plus when it's a girl lining them up it adds a little to the show.
Ya know, I crank this audio into a big screen/bid stereo rig to hear the engines. But when Mr. Sport Cap does his interviews, I have to lower the volume and/or skip ahead. Quit yelling. It's like nails on a chalkboard. Regular commentary just fine.
