Hey Bryan. This question might be off topic some, but I was wondering if on your videos do you memorize your script when in full person view or use a screen of some sort as a teleprompter. If so, is it positioned left, right, or center of the camera. I'm assuming whichever way it would be under the camera for sure. Just wondering. Thanks.

Hi Rodney! In this video I am not using a teleprompter, though I did recently get a teleprompter so future videos released will be with that.
In either case, I record in sections. I don't have an exact script, but instead make an outline of what I want to talk about, and record 1-2 minute segments at a time. Then our editor puts everything together nicely.
I made a video about my recording setup a while ago and what you see in this video is essentially the same setup still: czcams.com/video/JuO8FeKQmTo/video.htmlfeature=shared
I am planning to make an updated video of my setup this year to mention the teleprompter and some minor adjustments. This is the teleprompter I use: www.elgato.com/us/en/p/prompter
The teleprompter has been great so far for the podcast, allowing me to have better eye contact with the camera than looking off to the side a bit, but using it is a skill in itself because you don't want to look like your eyes are scanning back and forth reading a script.
My camera is mounted above my screen and is in the same place now, except that the teleprompter is in front of it so I can see brief notes while still looking at the camera.
The main goal is making it easy for myself to record videos, but not compromising my normal work setup with my screens. Hope this helps!
