Tarantino has been toying with the idea for years that he will make Kill The Bride as his last film, and it will be about Vernita's grown up daughter tracking down and trying to kill The Bride. He has talked about having Maya Hawke play The Bride's daughter and having Daryl Hannah back as the one who trains Vernita's daughter. I hope he doesn't retire like he says he's going to, but I REALLY want to see this film.

This is Tarantino's best film to me. Not a popular opinion, but it's the one I always come back to. It's the most minimal dialogue he has in all of his movies, but I think it has way more depth than given credit for. The characters talk through their facial expressions and emotions and every role is perfectly cast. It's amazing how in sync the actors are in this movie. Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, and Sonny Chiba should have got Oscar nominations. The actual dialogue that it does have is full of wit and humor. The musical choices and renditions are otherworldly.

    "...She'd have bled out"
    "It's a movie."
That cannot be overstated in this case. Even more so than other Tarantino films, this is a deliberately heightened reality. Tarantino films take place in an alternate universe to ours, more violent perhaps, but certainly historically divergent. This is a step further apart from that. This is a sequel movie to the TV pilot that Uma Thurman's character from Pulp Fiction made. It's a movie within a set of movies. That's why you have to let some unrealistic parts go. It isn't meant to be realistic, at least not in the brutal way most Tarantino movies are.

Daryl Hanna’s whistling song may be my favorite whistling. It’s from a 1968 movie called “Twisted Nerve”. Tarantino added it into the film after he saw this film at a film festival. He knew it would be a hit when everyone had the main theme and were whistling it by the end of the movie.

Here is a fact- In an interview, Quentin Tarantino said the use of animated sequences inside a film was inspired by a south Indian film Aalavandhan(pronounced aaah-la-vaan-dhan) by Kamal Hassan which showed the violence by animated sequence(Although a low budget film compared to now)!
Tarantino after seeing the film loved the film & the concept so much and as he is also a fan of the Ghost in the shell series wanted to convey hyper-violence by animation where he can show more violence in an anime style. So, he brought in one of the best anime studios to do that animated part.

    1. Loong monologue origin of Oren ishi and more brutal scenes of anime in it.
    2. The sword fights in Full color instead of black and white.
    3. The kid getting spanked gets thrown to a wall earlier in the fights with the few people.
    4. Close up face of the female assassin screaming while getting stabbed.
    5. Sophie's arms Both got cut off during the interrogation scene
    6. Plus more crazy back flips and the bride has two sword fatalities during the sword fight scenes.

The sword fights in this movie are actually more connected to the Japanese samurai movies, in particular the Lone Wolf and Cub series (which the Mandalorian series has some similarities to). Kill Bill Volume 2 has more Hong Kong kung fu types of combat.

Ik you guys were joking about it at the beginning but having weapons (i.e. a samurai sword) around and teaching your children to respect it is a seriously good thing for their personality development. Shows how serious some things need to be taken, and grows a respect for dangerous things/situations that children otherwise dont have a chance to learn from until they are teens doing stupid and reckless things. In summery, you SHOULD get a samurai sword lol.

It's like they say, whatever is normal for YOU is your normal. I had my first firearm I owned at like 5 or 7, a .22 rifle, got my own first shotgun at 11, first high powered rifle at like 14, and once I turned 18 I started buying all the guns lol. My older sisters, my younger sisters, we're an entire family of trained experienced concealed carriers, so when I encounter people who hate guns, it's WEIRD to me, IT'S NOT NORMAL TO ME.
But treating firearms with extreme respect because you've seen so often what they can do, how bad it can be, and how to do it safely, it's just second nature because it's normal life.
Another example, my parents stayed together until death, so it's weird to me parents getting divorced, which made me an odd one out being an 80s baby, because like ALL my friends came from broken homes, that's normal to them and I'm weird for having both parents.

As was already said, Uma Thurman did in fact have a stunt double here, Zoe Bell who is a New Zealander. Tarantino later featured her on screen as a character in 'Death Proof' in the most insane car chase ever, and in his latest film, 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'. She also has a small part in 'Django Unchained' where she appears wearing a bandana across her face and has no lines, so she is easy to miss.

There was Go Go's older sister in the original writing. She was supposed to follow the Bride to the U.S. to get revenge and then would fight there. The older sister was going to be played by the pretty psychopathic girl with the sickle in the violent cult Japanese film 'Battle Royale' but she was already filming something and couldn't do it. She was then written out of the story.
