YOU .... are the reason YOU and your teachings (that I follow for the last 4 - 5 years) that I converted to Islam (I was Christian born). What you have started in me have my Muslim-sisters & brothers in their behaviour whilst interacting day to day in my life cemented. Allah (swt) is my guidance every day; prayer & zikr, dhikr daily are my every day & I am grateful you plant the seed, our Muslim Brothers & Sisters treated me in Allah's teachings and THAT saved my life. People will come to Islam if we're welcoming. Why are Evangelical Christians so successful? Whrn they do mission they're always open and smiling. Mufti Menk is right: non-Muslims aren't enemies but potential converts. Islam should change focus and not treat non-Muslims as kafir but as brothers.
You are absolutely right. I am not born into Islam ... but I got saved by converting. The teaching & the kindness & example of my Muslim brothers & sisters along with the teachings of Islam showed me the way to Allah (swt).
Only the one who too lazy to learn the Deen Will have negative thought about non muslim...the educated one Will see the non muslim as their potential target to be invited to the Deen and how can we invite someone without any respect and proper manners😊..

I dont prothletize because i grew up christian, but i was invited to islam by watching muslim content creators.
If I want to revert to Islam, is reciting Shahada by heart with faith is enough? I'm living in a Christian family and I have recently decided to revert to Islam

I did this, so no problem. The important thing is what is in our heart. As long as you believe that worshipping other than Allah is wrong in your heart then you can keep practising your old religion to avoid greater conflicts. However, just know that there will be a time that you must show where you stand. May Allah keeps you in His protection.
Welcome to Islam. The shahada must be recited orally as well. In both Arabic and the language you speak.
