We investigate the corruption discrediting the PLO. Corruption within the Palestinian Authority is rife and Arafat hasn't fulfilled Palestinian expectations of the Peace Accords.

Abu Hussein is a Palestinian hero: a resistance leader tortured by the Israelis, fed up with the Palestinian Authority. Security forces arrest him with our camera crew in the street. Former guerrilla commander General Sabawy admits enemies of Arafat's privileged clique often end up in prison. At a Gazan society wedding the groom is the son of a General close to Arafat, another exile returned to wield almost unquestioned power. His family have brought their Western dress and confidence from exile abroad. The poor suffer and millions of dollars of aid have been misspent. Dr Kronz investigated the lost funds. "This makes the people feel disappointed. This is not what we struggle for." Anonymously, a man describes how police tried to beat a confession from him. On the troubled path from revolution to democracy, Gazans may have merely changed one system of oppression for another.

Dollar bills, the roots of evil ordinary people become devils when the green backs are plentiful and you've got the presidents ear.

Interesting. Perhaps stop blaming Israel for everything. Both sides have to own their mistakes to find a solution.

What do people do when their leaders have been corrupted by those who want to take over their land?
      What would you do?

3:25 Israel has a prominent role that deserves majority blame. They promoted Hamas over Arafat, created the blockade, and isolated Gaza from West Bank. These conditions have severely worsened any opportunity at peace and the blood is on their hands.

In Gaza Arafat put Dahlan...taxes will go Dahlan pocket..

    Arafat behind that...

    Yaser Arafat mistakes:
Former pm of jordan Alrifaee said Israel was always telling King Hussein secretly that they can give back west Bank to him without Jerusalem..
Arafat should went in that Direction,
Israel didn't want him, didn't want Palestinians state ..
Now 850 thousands of armed settlers there..
In Jordan Palestinians are the Majority but they are marginalized..
In Kuwait 400 thousands of Palestinians were working there, they benefited from wealthy country...
Arafat and Saddam Husein mistakes..Palestinians in Kuwait forced to leave..

Your lacking basic understanding of people, giving up East Jerusalem would mean his death sentence to even think that would feasible is just crazy. Not only would they lose their capital city also the access to Al Aqsa mosque, who would guarantee the future access when they give up their rights ? Nobody.

Great these Fools are gone... When they Had Tanks And Anti-aircraft weapons people had hope in them. But when they started taking all the money for them selves and when other factions (some were created by Israel) started to rise (specially hamas) Arafat became weaker, till Israel killed him by poison. Then no one took revenge. Now hams created schools, hospitals, so thats wrong, and they event create schools in the west bank but thats wrong to. hamas is less corrupt, but ruthless. but generous.

I grew up fighting the occupation, trying to have a free Palestine. then those Oslo people came from their luxurious houses in Tunisia and other countries to control us. We've been there in Palestine shedding our blood for freedom, and those came and took over just like that...Glad they've been taken down by Hamas, even though I don't much agree with Hamas.
