I have both these guitars and absolutely love them. Got the bullet first and it’s still my go to because I mostly play punk and grunge/alternative but the classic vibes out of phase tones are amazing as well. Distortion just goes better with the bullets humbuckers. Definitely wanna put a humbucker in the bridge of the classic vibe tho

Thanks for all the great Mustang demos.
As a teenager in 1981 I got my first good guitar, a Fender Mustang. I ran it into a 30w Yamaha SS amp then out the headphone jack through an MXR Distortion + into a 6w Fender Champ. It was the grungiest tone ever! When I first heard Nirvana I remember thinking Kurt stole my sound.
That Mustang is long gone but I will be getting one of the Squier VM Mustangs once I pay off my Fender Jimi Monterey Strat.

The out of phase clean from the VM is incredible. It emulates everything that a clean single coil mustang is. Also the distortion on the bullet is incredible for a $150 guitar. I bought one and am very, very impressed.

Hey Rob, great video as always. I personally think the VM Mustang sounded brighter, cleaner, & clearer. Even with the distortion, if that makes sense. I do have a VM Mustang, so maybe my opinion is a bit biased, but I think it sounds better. The only thing I don't care for on my VM Mustang, is the gloss neck. I'm working on sanding it down to play smoother, but its still a bit sticky. The hardtail bridge on the bullet mustang just takes away from the whole mustang vibe, ya know what I mean. I do wish the VM Mustang had body contours though. That's 1 thing I envy about the bullet mustang. They both are a great price for people who don't want to spend a fortune on a decent guitar.

About a month after this comment I took a pair of fender style of my unplayable Garry guitar and when my Fender knobs arrived I kept the Garry ones on because they're shorter and out of the way but fully accessible if I need speed access. I screwed up two packs of Ernie Ball 9s I was trying everything but it sounded like played like crap and then I saw his video on setting up and all I have now is a pack of Gibson 10s I'm going to put on. I have a lot of work to do to correct my mistakes resetting the intonation and I Saw a tutorial where a Guy shows how to lower the pick-ups to get a warmer bluesy tones and the Tele twang sounds.

Rob did ever give anymore though about reviewing the Epiphone LP Muse even though it's a high-end guitar I don't think you would have a problem reselling it but even the used one's aren't that much cheaper so I believe that that will be an investment guitar. According to the the sellers they are complicated guitar and they said it's not a true LP because of the weight relief and the thin chambered body keeps it from chugging and it's to close to a 335.

I might be in a minority, but I absolutely love the Mustang bridge in terms of comfort. It's (from my experience) the smoothest and most comfortable tremolo I have ever experienced. Were I to own one however, I'm sure I'd change my mind quickly. I do intend on buying one of these beauties, though. Other offsets - I'm leaning more towards paying more for the Fender brand (I know, I'm being shallow here, the squiers are amazing, I just want to have the Fender logo on my Jazzmaster and Jag.)

Rob The Meat Manifesto yeah! I remember watching the squier vintage modified mustang vid you did. It sounded great. I’m planning on going to guitar center soon to try things out. Either way I’m getting the fender frontman amp so I’ll try some guitars on it to see what I like best. Thanks for the help.
