Good to see the scoring system! I like the very toned down colour scheme, as I think that kind of place is good for folks like me who are always over anxious and wigged out. I love all the access to water; ocean, villa pool, villa soaking pool, two public pools, spa pool...aahhhh!

I enjoy all your videos! But I have to say, this one made me laugh out loud. 😂 It reminded me of that one time I was video recording on my phone and used the key card to unlock my hotel door. @@luxurytravelexpert I think the scoring system is a real bonus as it gives the viewer a final sense of what he is getting for his money. Given your extensive 5 star resort experience I find these numbers pivotal. I absolutely appreciate the thought that goes into this!

Phuket is just one of those places that is on everyone bucket list, gorgeous video, i love the flooring on the villa, i also like the rustic look inside as well, wonderful video

I was surprised that this was a Luxury Collection property. It looked a bit tired and in need of a refresh or renovation.

This is pretty much as close to paradise as I can imagine.
The difference between high end resorts is subjective and a matter of style once they have ticked all the requisite boxes on the checklist for being a luxury resort.

Iv been to phuket few times but never heard of this place. TBH its just about average. There are far better places here, Twin palms, Andara, Banyan tree, Virtuoso to name a few. But your video is great as always. Cant wait for your next clip. Soneva Jani IMHO is the best resort in world, Hands down.

I spent 10 days on Phuket in a Club Med. I really enjoyed it but Phuket itself is of course very touristic. The Beach was right across the Street and I agree with you that the Beaches are just ok. I‘ve seen better Beaches. I visited Phang Nga as well and it was beautiful despite of many other visitors amongst our small Group. Club Med has a Payot Spa and Treatment Center and the full Body Masage and facial treatment was the best I‘ve ever encountered. The Resort in your clip seems nice but not overwhelming.
Hi Michaela, always nice to read your comment. You are correct, Naka Island is not my favorite resort. That's probably the hotel I showed at the end of this clip as a teaser ;)

By your standards, that was a very, "meh" review. It's certainly not up to the quality of the Soneva resorts, but for someone like me, it would be a dive into a bucket list destination. Thanks for showing the contrast.

We were there last new year, we stayed in the tropical pool villa for 5 nights and from my experience, not my favourite. The bathroom in the villa stinks like a public one so we had had to ask for a room exchange on the second day. Its hard to imagine a 5 stars resort cannot clean their bathroom properly. Choices of food are limited and their thai restaurant is below average in thai standard. We had stayed in banyan tree in phuket and peninsula in bangkok before, both served better food.

Fair. Not one that I would choose. Did not care for the villa at all. Spa looked nice tho....

It was built as a Six Senses but Marriott took over management after a few years

I'd love to be employed for a company, who for rewards would give out free holiday's like this. Easy way to rack up loyalty points for free and then you can come here even more often!
How much per night I’m interested to go vacay thainland this place its beautiful 😍
If you go in low season it works out to around $200usd per night which includes breakfast. If you go in high season it can be 3x that or more. I have a review of Naka on my channel too :)
Thanks for the review! I personally don't like this resort. I stayed here a few years ago. The food was terrible. The resort is just average. I think Cape Panwa or Hyatt Regency is still better than this place.

I don't agree, I thought Naka was absolutely awesome. Best to go in low season though, then you have the place to yourself
Lovely video. The place would not be for me as I can't ride a bike (!) and have a phobia about sleeping underneath windows - not that I could afford it anyway. Thank you.
The resort has bikes and you can ride around the island and through the jungle a bit, lots of fun :)

I was for many years there and the littel island was empty , absolut nothing, now is a big and luxury 5 s hotel.

This one felt rushed. As if you didn't really want to be there. Which is understandable, if it's a sub par place. But it seemed as if the quality of the establishment affected the quality of your review.

There is NO SUCH THING as a 'private beach' in Thailand. If a boatload of hooligans decided to land on Naka Beach the resort - under Thai law - couldn't do a thing about it.
