    How do we differentiate between gas, oil an water? Also, between light oil, medium oil and heavy oil?

      Gas have longer T1 values and polarization time as they have low hydrocarbon density and much higher molecular self diffusion. When you only have oils in the sample, you ll have longer T2 values than flr water as surface relaxivity is lower for oils than for water (around 1/3) in case of mixed oil and water, you will see doubled T2 peaks, one peak for the water and one for oil (even though it's sometimes hard to see it depending on the wettability of the rock). The heavier the oil is the lower T2 relaxation time it will have.
