This is my personal interpretation of Metallica's "Master Of Puppets".
I always thaught that one day i would have played this song in a didactic drum video like this one, in the way that i always wanted to play it.
Of course i love Lars Ulrich playing, even if my drumming sounds totally different from his.
I recorded this song with my life friends Braindamage (my ex-band) and i thanks Andrea Signorelli & Gigi Giugno for the help they gave me to record this killer version of this great song.
The drums has been recorded in one take, as usual is in all my drum videos, no camera switch-view to hide mistakes, only sweat ( as you probably will notice in the video ;)) relax, endurance and hard work.
Don't waste your time in video editing, more editing you do, more the drumming looks fake.

This version is killer. Not the original. If I wanted the original or any other cover version where they play like Lars, this is not the cover for you. BUT, if you want to know it should have sounded with a modern drummer, this is the PERFECT version! Great job!

For those complaining about the vocals and how he's overdoing it on the drums: keep in mind.... this is an EXTREME cover (clearly says it in the video if you're paying attention), not another boring regular cover (which there are hundreds of those videos up already). This is a new twist on the song. And things tend to be a bit overdone when you go extreme.
I actually quite enjoyed it until after Hetfield's guitar solo in the interlude. I was like "wow, Lars could learn a thing or two from this guy". Lol

I got a question. I'm not a drummer so I was always wondering why do some of drummers move their foot right-left while playing double bass?
It’s called swivel. It allows for faster playing and such. There’s also hell-toe which is more difficult because your hitting 2 beats on a foot before switching to the other, by pressing the pedal with your toe, then moving your foot to press it with the heel. It looks super impressive but is hard to learn, much less master.

Solo part in this version is really good, I wish Metallica recorded it like that in the beginning. \m/ That's what I miss the most in the original.
Also, I'd throw kickass blast beats somewhere in the song. For example, in the end of the solo. ;)

I absolutely love Metallica and Lars, but it does bum be out a bit after seeing these kinds of videos because it really shows that Lars solely has been holding Metallica for like the last 20 something years. Who else here remembers when Dave Lombardo sat in for Battery in 2004 when Lars was out and they absolutely ripped through it like it's never been been played before.

People complaining about this COVER probably don’t listen to any kind of extreme, tech, death metal and think Lars is still the best drummer ever. Of course it may seem “overdone” to some because they’re so used to the original, but this drumming actually fits the song very well. Coming from a musicians stand point, I can definitely get behind this, as much as I like the simplicity of the original song. If you don’t like it, listen to the original.

Nobody thinks Lars is the best drummer
Well basically its the matter of genres. Gee shows incredible timed skills with his taylored superfast basslines, which attract approximately only 1 billion asian fans versus Lars, who is mostly proud of his very talented heritage.

This guy's a phenomenal drummer and is showcasing that with this cover. I'm not complaining about it but Lars' version is better for the song. It's not about how fast you can play. Imagine this guy doing this over Black Sabbath's Paranoid. It would be cool and all but would be too much.
