The bigger square shows the petals more. I find it mind blowing that half an inch makes so much difference. Happy sewing in your airstream. I lived in a Coleman 38 ft park ready trailer for 10 years. A bit harder to quilt but it's possible.
Hey, We’re ‘twins’!! I have an airstream and a singer feather weight and sew on my get-a-ways!!
Blessings, Holly
When the blocks were together at the end it looked to me like radiant sons in the sky. God bless
Love your tutorials. Nothing fancy but very instructive and gives me the urge to quilt. I also love the music you have in the background. It's not intrusive but very pleasing and adds to the quality of your videos. Thanks for sharing your skills and time.
Definitely the 1.5 inch. The other seems to get lost in the seam allowance. Never saw this block before. Love it
I like the bigger squares in the corner better also. Another lovely quilt design! I love your new home away from home. I don't know how you stay so busy all the time, I need to find some of your gumption to do, do, do instead of watch, watch, watch, lol!
I live 6 months a year in AZ in my motor home. I SO wish I had a dedicated sewing area but I am converting my kitchen into a sewing room ( till we get hungry and I have to change it back lol) and making it work. I have a hand crank 1917 Western Electric that I use when we don't have a lot of sun for solar. Where there is a will there is a way. Lol.
The bigger corner square gives the flower block a better look...more definition to the flower petals.
Love your new travel home, and your sewing area is just perfect,,,,I like the bigger corner blocks too,,makes it all look better in the end. May God Bless you and yours, Renee Corbin
I also like the larger squares for the flower blocks!
Wow, such a beautiful trailer, I am happy for you Beth ❤️👍
Beautiful. Those blocks make me think of snowflakes for some reason. I think that would be perfect for a winter quilt. ❄❄❄❄
Enjoy life while you sew, sounds prefect!
I agree, the larger block shows up better. Pretty finished blocks. Enjoy your Airstream. It's lovely 😍.
Excellent block, easy to cut sizes, I'm another vote for the bigger corners in the flower unit. Best wishes Beth, you'll always be my go to for inspiration ❤
Today my custom built she shed with shelves and tables that are built to my height and fold up to wall or can be removed will be delivered. It has cubbyholes for yarn or whatever that can be removed. The best thing it belongs to me for sewing, crocheting or watching TV etc. It is 12×16 and I will have the key only. I am so happy. Because my craft room in the house half was taken over by my son's extra stuff that he wouldn't keep in his room after he moved back home. Yippee
Very nice block Beth! Thanks for sharing it and your Airstream!!
My grandparents traveled in their airstream for years! My grandfather carried a whole workshop in his truck, and my grandmother had her sewing machine.
Well here I go again. I just have to say my son had an older model fifth wheel and he will be giving it to me by sting. I’d already envision having all my sewing wonderful things in there. Hope I can accomplish this. And what I love is I have the property to set it up at. And also love the fact I can get away from it all just me and my sewing. And I can stay there all day. It has all the amenities of a home. I can fix my meals there 3.times a day. Only thing I need is a W/D.I will probably have to pay extra property tax for having a structure there, but with a few of my crafts I sell I can pay that easy.and I figured this will seriously encourage me to meet my goals.
Very nice quilting set up! I like the 1 1/2” snowballs, as they show up better. You might consider using a wool ironing mat. I have a 12” that I travel with and even with a smaller wattage iron, I get nice flat blocks. Have fun in your new sewing room! Thanks for sharing all that you do!
Very pretty. I also like the bigger square for the flower block.
On another note, I can't tell you how many years I had my Featherweight before I realized I didn't have to flip the switch to sew. That it was only necessary if I needed the light. Happened by accident. The light bulb lasted a lot longer! Now I have an LED light bulb which is even better. Still my favorite sewing machine!
If you were making a quilt with this block, you could alternate between the two sizes just for interest. A great block! Your AirStream set up is perfect!
I never saw this quilt block. I like them both. And what a beautiful camper
That Airstream is beautiful! Is it vintage or new? I agree, the larger corner piece makes the flower shape easier to see.
Great video and beautiful pattern.
I LOVE sewing while camping, great episode. Beautiful Airstream ❤
I like the larger squares better. More visible. Love your Airstream.
Your second home are very nice. You have place to quilting. This pattern are simple but is beautiful.
Beth cute quilt blocks, the larger 1-1/2" square makes the block stand out more. Good choice this quilt will look nice all together. Thanks for sharing looking forward to the next video. ❤️
Heading south next week in our motor home. Already have my featherweight packed. Happy campers!
Lovely new home, and a beautiful block design.
You certainly “make do” well in your beautiful Air Stream. I hope you have many fun times in it. I like the larger corners.
I love your airstream. I agree the larger squares make a more attractive petal block.
JELLY! i love your new rig, AIRSTREAM! my vintage 1967 cardinal deluxe trailer has her own featherweight too! 1952 linda sue, she loves sewing on my camping trips!
I like the second block the best. Both blocks are beautiful. I have not seen this pattern before. Did you design it?
Janet and Bill (both quilters) have a big camper home. They take a sewing machine, and project with them on their camping trips. Vicky and Tom (both quilters, designer, and shop owner) have a big camper that they drive all over the U.S.A. and Canada to sell and teach from. I remember reading (years ago in an old quilt magazine) a true story (with pictures) about two women who used an old school bus as a traveling quilt shop (to travel from small town to small town somewhere out west). They would let the post offices of the towns know when they would be available in each town. Their customers would be waiting for them when they got to town. All vacations can go wrong. It could rain when you get there. Or one of the campers may not like to fish. Sewing can keep the peace between you. I would love to have a cutting board big enough to fit over my kitchen sink in my house. That's a wonderful idea.
This is an old classic quilt block
Thank you for the many ideas in quilting. I spend lots of time with you ❤❤❤
I like any thing ,any way you put it together! I kinda lean toward the 1/1/2 in blocks on the in the mix! Enjoy your outing, thanks for taking us along to enjoy another another time of crafting with you! Have fun! Happy Life! Happy New Year! Hugs always, lis
Beth, this brought back memories of when we had a trailer and I had my sewing stuff go along with us. Anywhere we go my sewing went with us.
Now we are homebodies and I have a lot of sewing stuff. Enjoy. Love your videos.❤
What a lovely camper you have! I think I prefer the larger corners.
Congratulations on your Airstream! Those are my favorites! Your sewing room looks nice and cozy!
Nice Airstream! I like the bigger squares because they show up better. Happy Trails!
That looks like some fun. I think I would like this for a children's fabric I have, made with a little bigger pieces to show off the animals as fussy cut centers. I think it would have to be 6" squares for the bigger blocks.
I love your little home, have many happy hours of sewing ❤ linda
Beautiful blocks Beth. Congrats on your new Airstream! Well deserved❤️🌲🙏🏻
I like the bigger ones too. They show better in the overall presentation.
Love the flower block. I am going to try it in reds and alternate a pieced or applique heart block with it. Something pretty for Valentine's Day. Your camper is beautiful. Love the Windows! You can be outside while you are inside. Looks warm where you are at. Been freezing here!
Definitely prefer the larger "petal" triangles!
Great video!
Love your caravan…seems like you have heaps of room! How wonderful for you. Those fabrics look lovely together. Thanks again Beth for sharing, ❤️💚🇦🇺
Your Airstream is gorgeous, Beth! I think the larger squares create more of a pinwheel look, while the smaller ones do appear more flower-like. Either one is very pretty. Happy Trails!
Love your new trailer Beth. What a beautiful set up to travel and enjoy a change of scenery and nature and sewing at the same time. Cute block and the larger square worked in well. Enjoy your trip♥️🇦🇺
🇦🇺💜🖐😊

So exciting to see your new motor home!
Good call on the larger squares. Maybe I can make a case for a Featherweight since we RV camp, too! 😉
Hello Beth, What a beautiful home away from home you have! I am so happy for you and a beautiful place to sew while away. 🥰👍❤️ I think I like the larger square too. You are so much fun with your color combinations, love them always. Many years ago I grew up camping in an Airstream and had so much fun. Have a wonderful trip in your new camper. 🥰👍👏 Chris
I agree the bigger one just pops! Love your tutorials, enjoy your new adventures! Debbie from Texas
I love your airstream! We camp every chance we get! Enjoy!
Your airstream trailer is very nice. Thanks for sharing this.
Camper for life! Yay! My stash is huge in the bunkhouse area!
Gosh, here's me, that lady knows what she is doing :)
Bigger for sure. Beautiful!
I agree with everyone else 👍 The bigger petals show up much better 👍👍 It must be great to be able to sew while you are away, I’ve been crocheting instead 🤷♀️ but it was wonderful spending time with our family ♥️ Thanks for taking us with you and sharing another wonderful block 👏👏🇬🇧
This is a very nice block design!❤
Love your airstream. Rey nice! I think I like the bigger better. I agree that the smaller ones get a bit lost
Sewing in your airstream is so inspiring ❤ thank you
Nice camper! Great square, and yes the bigger corners look great! Thank you for another great video!
Really like your new home away from home sewing area. I like the larger corner blocks on the 2 1/2 squares, pretty block
Beautiful quilting, both are nice small and big 😀
Love all your work you do such nice projects
Wow it all voies together besutifuly with the larger cornerstones. Happy holidays. Hugs
Love your new trailer. I also sew quilts when we are camping in our RV. I like the larger snowball. Pretty block.
Beautiful ❤ I love it 😍
Fun! I love the bigger flower block!
Airstreams and sewing, 2 of my favorite things and both are beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing ❣️
Hey Beth, I like this block with the 1.5” small squares
Love this video. I thought about bringing my machine on my next camping trip. ❤ Yes, to the larger square.
Nice new home.
We’re on week 2 of our Christmas tour in Southern England and alway pack my featherweight Summer time Is best for stitching outdoors today I’m enjoying the sound of the rain on the roof ❤
Beth your a lucky lady, your trailer is gorgeous and to able to still quilt, amazing. Across the board everyone is liking the larger snowball corners including myself. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your outdoor getaway. 👍❤️😊
Wow, I’m impressed that you not only sew, but sew and film in a camper! I love the blocks. I think I like the flower blocks with the bigger corners.
Love the delicate flowers! and your air stream is enviable...is that a word?
Nice trailer - congrats!
Great video as usual. Love your new camper. Happy camping!
I like the larger corner blocks. I always travel with my featherweight and a sewing project. Enjoy your new Airstream, Beth! Thank you for all your relaxing videos and have a wonderful 2023!
I like the way the smaller corners create a fringe effect around the larger-corner blocks. Thanks for sharing!
Hi! Sew, I just happened on to your bolt here, love your lifestyle I your trailer with your Featherweight! Your quilt block is great…. Don’t we love our quilt top piecing??? Truly enjoyed your video….Thank you!
Now I want to bring my sewing along on camp trips! Love the pattern with the larger blocks too.
So pretty! I suppose the bigger corner block stands out better but really both are nice! Do you have any ideas or patterns for cat beds? Could be a future episode perhaps? 😉
Love your new set up Beth…your AirStream is just lovely…the quilt is too…I like a scattering of both size blocks…natures flowers bloom at different times…best wishes❤
I like the larger squares in the corners of the flower block.
Love your portable ironing pad.
Beautiful Airstream!
Thank you for your calm, soothing speaking voice and delivery of instructions!
I like the bigger squares in the corners. It makes the blue pop out more. Great job! Your Airstream looks wonderful. Enjoy!
Lovely it
Hi Beth, I think for this color of fabric the bigger size is better. However if the two fabrics were high contrast then the smaller size might be enough to use. So I think it depends on the fabric choices. Yes always very nice to sew outside, or be outside in a zen atmosphere. Thanks for sharing, blessings on your Christmas and New Year.
Beth I don’t know how off grid you want to get with your sewing, but you might want to look into small solar generators with a solar panel. I’ve been testing that setup here in case of outages and it’s been working really well. Then you aren’t using the battery in your airstream or reliant on a hookup in case you boondock for a few days. Obviously it works best when sunshine is plentiful but power stations can be charged in other ways if solar is unavailable but regular power is still on.
We’ll look into that 👍
I like the 1 1/2 in block better
I prefer the 1.5 squares too. Love the Airstream ❣️
Lovely block Beth and again your brilliant colour schemes. I was thinking that a few blocks with the smaller corners would look nice scattered about in the quilt among the bigger corner blocks. How lovely to be able to sew in an outside area xx Thank you for sharing with us and a Happy New Year to you and yours xx
Beautiful block Beth. My New Year’s resolution to make this for Christmas 2023 and in my Christmas print scraps.will be a challenge but I know I can get it done. Thank you for all you do for the quilting world. HAPPY NEW YEAR
My husband wondered when I set up my longarm and 6 foot frame in the RV for a few days. Luckily we were able to get to the fridge and bathroom! Lol
Thank you for your Video!🧡❤💚 To dear Sir . Beth.
We have an Airstream too. My compromise is that I cross stitch in the Airstream, and Sew/Quilt at home. 😃
Beth meant to tell you that I love Campers. But if I had to quilt in a cave I would still do it.
