    Matt Chandler, whether he knows it or not, is a sort of spiritual mentor for me. I go to a Gospel teaching and Gospel living church that is doing great things and I am very close with my pastor. However, Matt's sermons and his ministry serve as a huge supplemental guidance for me and my spiritual walk. I pray that God will continue to minister and change lives for the sake of the Gospel through Matt and the Village Church.

    I had a tumor the size of an avacoda that almost killed me. God supernaturally had my brother who lives in tx picks me up because I was so confused and unable to function but I live alone in new Mex and my family usually don't care about me. My sister took me to axle Dr and he didn't took my medicare so they took me to emergency room insole hosp and did CT scan . I was actually so out of it I barely remember. Ambulance to harris Methodist where the last thing I remember on Christmas Eve day was a dark skinned tall man told me I had a huge mass on my brain and I yelled take it out. I bled so bad they let me rest and went in a 2nd time Christmas day. I began to decline. Dieting. I was told later from so much bleeding. Holy spirit came to and told to repeat until I woke to say in my mind. I am not coding. Must have said it 100 times then I woke up. Amasing God had me cm and my body not to die .the Lord is so cool. I gotten recovered and did rehab and was told I recovered quicker that ever saw anyone. I did radiation. And now I'm just praising God for mercy and love and wisdom.

    Great interview. Matt is blessed with very eloquent words from the Spirit of God, but there are some moments in this interview where I can tell Matt takes over, and the Spirit is overshadowed by some personal grudges against Catholicism. I may be incorrect, but I gathered that his mother was Catholic. Matt identifies areas of teaching that we can't ignore, where we can't "come to Jesus" without repentance, but seems to leave out certain teachings for the sole purpose of differentiating from Catholicism. I'd make the argument that rather than attack and marginalize an entire institution and it's members for it's faults, instead, engage it and seek to encourage it's repentance. By singling out other Christian groups, we are starving ourselves of teachings and truths that are fundamental to walking with Jesus while hypocritically accusing hypocrites. For me, my comment isn't a condemnation to others, but an admonition to all of Christianity to continue growing in faith and consideration of all creeds. I think Christ has prepared Matt well for participating in what I believe Pope Francis is also trying to bridge and restore through the guidance of the Spirit. We all need to be perfected in Christ, no matter what faith we belong to, and we all have our strengths and weaknesses. A church is represented by it's people, but Faith comes from Christ. One is flawed, the other is perfect. The fullness of Faith and the unity of the Church is found in following Jesus' lead, and not stopping when we are challenged with a barrier we'd rather not cross. Matt has crossed some major barriers regarding homosexuality and abortion, he/we shouldn't stop there. Mathew 12:25 "Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand."

      The problem is Protestants and the Roman Catholic church present two different ways that sinners are saved. It wasn't Matt's grudge against Roman Catholicism, it was the Bibles. As far as engaging and seeking it, they tried that centuries ago. Read about the protestant reformation.

      I don't think his mother is catholic actually. He's said before that his grandfather on his mothers side was a preacher and as you know catholic priests can't marry.

      +Bert Suluvale The teachings and truths of Christ are preserved and further revealed by Christ through His Church under the protection and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, to distinguish what is false from truth, you must have a reliable "foundation" from which you can reference. How do you know what is false? Are you yourself the Church? Are you the Holy Spirit? Is the entire Body of Christ within each individual or is one person only a small part of the Body? By your logic, you're suggesting Matt is correct, but the collective Church is not. Which means either there is no Church, or the Church is relative to the individual and what that person personally believes. A book can be interpreted in infinite ways by those who read it, unless the interpretation of the book has already been revealed by it's author/s...which it has, by the Church that assembled it, and by who's members were responsible for writing it's words. If you're arguing against Catholic teaching, you're arguing against the scriptures..not for them. The bible is clearly not the "rock" or foundation Jesus was referring to. You also have a flawed understanding of the relationship of the Pope to the other Bishops within the organization of the Church. The Pope is not excluded from the College of Bishops/Cardinals, or elevated above them. He is still a Bishop, but by appointed office, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, made the outward visible "head" of Christ's Church. When the Pope speaks ex cathedra, he speaks on behalf of the Church, in UNION with the Bishops, under the authority of the Holy Spirit. When there are differences between the Bishops on specific matters, conclaves are held, and after thorough debate, the Pope has the authority to make a final determination. Christ promised that in these circumstances, the Church would be protected by the Holy Spirit against error. This is not the same as the Pope going to a podium one day and declaring that he is God, and no Catholic being able to disagree with him like many non-Catholics seems to believe is the case. It is much more like a court room with a judge, or a parliament, or a congress than some sort of divine dictatorship.

    I know this will be ment to help a lot of people but it's a really disrespectful narrative to Lauren that she's was self absorbed and Mat was insure is makes her sound like a bully and the story of - Mat loved her in to being loving, seems to contractic the 'Our story' narrative that sounds much more balanced that they both had issues. She actually says in that 'he though I was the problem, I thought I was the problem.' Out of respect to her I would take this down it's a Mat victim Lauren bully narrative.

    Here are some clues for the clueless. If you want to get ahead, stay in school, get training, stick with a job, learn how to speak English, don’t build up an arrest / conviction record, don’t abuse alcohol and drugs, take care of your family, assume responsibility for yourself, cooperate when an officer says you are under arrest, don’t tell an officer to have intercourse with himself when he tells you to do something like don’t walk in the middle of a street, don’t feel you are above the law and can walk out of a store without paying for the cigars. Of course the clueless will never get a clue; that is why they are clueless and at the bottom of society. So much easier just to blame white privilege and wait for support / subsidies from Obamamerica.

    why are people like this listened to? hes reading the same book everyone else is yet everyone is deluded into thinking he is special when it comes to religion. hes not getting any special info you are not, just another guy with a drivers license and a social security number, no special achievement or advancement for mankind. these "faith leaders" arent leaders of anything.

      +Woahimdead07 you're right he is reading the same book, but it's the way he communicates the things said in the book to people so they can understand it better, which is something he's been gifted by God. He communicates God's word well.

    • @nickleahpinneri3064
      @nickleahpinneri3064 Před 8 lety +6

      He is listened to because he has a special gift of communicating God's truth which has resulted in thousands getting saved from their sins and being reconciled to God. Saved from a life of misery and death to a life of unending joy and peace. This is worth infinitely more than a "special achievement" and greater than any "advancement for mankind". And the beauty is God gets all the glory

      Lol and you buy into the god delusion. good job. this is exactly why yout think that and will listen to him. "better" just means more clever, "better" has convinced people to read the bible and do terrible things- like ALL of history has shown. suppress women, stone gays, excommunicate people, death penalty and jail penalty for "blasphemy laws". but how far can one get when trying to reason with someone who believes a book that claims people live to be 900, and sanctions slavery.

      what you just said was one deluded display of nonsense. religious hullabaloo to the max. but what can one hope to hear from someone who subscribes to the mythological book that sanctions slavery and claims people live to be 800 years old, and thats just to name two pieces of bullshit from the bible.

      Lol what? Im an ex christian. dont worry I am fully acquainted with your bullshit doctrine. and there is no anger but ridicule. bad ideas should be ridiculed like the KKK, they have a right to free speech and are just as susceptible to ridicule. and the "claims" i made are not mine, they are the bible's claims. either you missed those when your cherry pick your verses or you are a flat out liar. I dont (you dont either) have to respect any idea. we know through modern science where we came from so i see anyone that teaches dogma and bronze-age theocracy as worthy of ridicule. the truth is out there...its called data and scientific peer review. as for guidance, its called humanistic philosophy or secular human philosophy that isnt predicated on any supernatural being to commit altruism. having said that, if i said this to you in public simply 300 years ago I would be literally burned at the stake for blasphemy laws.
