- Riky Rick is a rapper, producer/entertainer based in Johannesburg, South Africa. His album "Family Values" was certified platinum by RISA and was in the Top 20 African Albums of 2015. He has won numerous awards for his music, most notably the MTV AFRICA AWARD FOR BEST MUSIC VIDEO, a Loerie Award for his short film EXODUS and 2 awards at the SA HIP HOP AWARDS. Upon joining Sony Music Entertainment Africa with his company Cotton Club Records, Riky Rick has released a new project, Stay Shining, in November 2017. The project has been received well with singles Stay Shining and Murdah having videos to support them. The project went on to be nominated for two South African Music Awards last year for Best Remix (Buy It Out) and Best Rap Album (Stay Shining). 2018 sees him return with another street anthem, I Can’t Believe It (Macoins). Certified hit maker Riky Rick recently obtained a Double Platinum plaque for Buy It Out - his first single released through his Cotton Club Records partnership with Sony Music Africa. The single produced by award winning Gemini Major was immediately embraced by the streets and has become a fan favourite during his live performances. Riky dropped his latest single You and I featuring multi-platinum singer, Mlindo the Vocalist, on Valentine’s Day.

I wonder if he knew that he was loved this much, that maybe something would’ve changed about how he felt because it also seems like he was seeking some sort of validation? It just breaks my heart when I think about what could’ve been done to make him feel better? And the sad part is that he was an artist but music still didn’t help him because it is an outlet but that still didn’t help! 💔 You can just imagine the amount of pain he was experiencing 💔 at such a young age even 🥺. And he had been battling depression for so long in silence. I so wish he has found the peace he wanted so badly
I think his circle did not appreciate him enough and that is jealousy, they felt threatened by him,like you said only if he knew how much he was loved maybe he could've been saved.
@@maleetomohlatlole9555 eish and he once talked about fake love and all that. So maybe you’re right. He also felt like a failure and maybe that’s because he wasn’t getting validation from his friends/family. Yoh it’s so devastating 💔
@@Mamello222 he was doing so much though not for himself only but for whole lot of people man we hate each other if we let people we love to die just like that, after he was dracked on zalebs post and the comment about his wife were devastating i felt that pain as if it was meant for me i felt that he needed somebody to talk to coz the comments were too deep and heartbreaking on top of that black Twitter 💔 but hey we are just strangers, and at the funeral his young brother said he was very sensetive so you can imagine the pain he felt if he did read all those comments.
@@maleetomohlatlole9555 I can imagine. I remember people were saying he wanted to be around anyone who was “famous” at any point just so he can stay relevant. Imagine him seeing that and the comments about how his wife seems unhappy. He did seem like an emotional guy so i can only imagine how he felt. I just hope he is at peace now. I know he is. The world didn’t deserve someone like him 🥺
