- After featuring a variety of name brand limited edition fall offerings in our Pumpkin Mystery Mukbang a few week’s back, we thought it would be a fun idea to continue exploring the never-ending list of seasonal pumpkin provisions and dive into only store brand options for this week’s video. Seeing Trader Joe’s seems to get a lot of love across the internet and their extensive catalog of festive fall foods potentially outranks their competitors, we took a drive to the only TJ’s location in the great little state of Rhode Island and purchased every seasonal pumpkin food available to us. From unexpected items like spicy pumpkin samosas and empanadas to their “super premium” ice cream and pumpkin Joe Joe’s (their version of the Oreo), we ate our way through 13 limited edition fall items and racked up a total of 16,000 calories in the process.
We’re thrilled to not only have experienced Trader Joe’s in the light of our favorite flavor season but to now also have our own personal opinion on whether they’re worth the hype of not.

FAQ’s:
Q: How do you not gain weight?
Well, we currently are but here’s a quick answer as to how we managed to do weekly food challenges for a year and a half without gaining much it:
A: Endurance sports (primarily running, cycling and some resistance training tossed in) and extreme discipline & sacrifice with our daily diets is how we manage not to gain weight. We eat mostly vegetables, fruits, some whole grains and low fat dairy on the days outside these challenges. The calories consumed in a food challenge are the only calories consumed that day and sometimes the day following as well seeing our appetites are typically shot from so much food and the thought of eating is very off putting. Two days out we are back to large amounts of vegetables and increase to maintenance from there. We also often eat most of our days calories in a smaller eating window (we frequently bounce between intermittent fasting & OMAD diet as it just seems to work with our lifestyles and eating preferences). Anyone with a larger than normal stomach capacity like us, the drive to push through the discomfort of a challenge like this, and a basic understanding of energy balance (calories in vs calories out) can do it with enough disciple and intention (not that we recommend it).
Also worth mentioning is that we do not exercise to burn the calories consumed in a challenge but rather we are able to consume higher calorie diets due to our love for endurance sports and said discipline with our daily diets.
Q: Can you make a “What I eat in a day” / fitness focused video?
A: While we’re sure that type of video will eventually make its way out there, we are only able to produce one piece of quality content with our current schedules. We’re still in the very early stages of establishing ourselves within the food challenge genre and we’re constantly experimenting & trying to improve upon our style to make our channel/challenges a unique experience. This channel in particular will most likely always primarily revolve around food challenges but, if this ever became a legitimate source of income and we were able to focus our full attention towards creating content, our goal would be to start a second channel to offer more of a look into that side of our lives. So, for now, food challenges are the name of the game.

The amount of pumpkin flavor products you have in the US is insane. Here we eat pumpkin boiled with a pinch of salt, or cooked in the oven (or as a pizza base), also as a marmalade and stop counting hahaahah
And this is just scratching the surface! The US only knows excess 😆

(Mrs. FFFO here) Josh and I had the pumpkin ice cream and our heads practically exploded. Our reaction was very much the same. Very high quality ice cream and the flavor was ON POINT.

It’s been quite a long time since we’ve made our way there ourselves! It seems like a great place if you want pre-made things and fun (kinda novelty?) items but if you prefer cooking from scratch not so much? That’s the vibe we got. Not at all actually. TJs is extremely affordable. Like we mentioned when eating the cheesecake, that whole thing was $7 which is half the price of the name brand ones like the Juniors and the Cheesecake Factory “at home” ones that we had in the last two vids 🎉
Additionally, consider this when watching a mukbang: The food eaten is part of the eater’s weekly total. So this is 8,000 calories of our food for the week. So whatever the price of the video is essentially someone’s grocery bill. That’s actually why most of ours are done with grocery goods and not fast food restaurants or regular restaurants. Our weekly food budget is quite low and we have to make it work and be responsible financially while still putting our videos 😎

The pumpkin spice Oreos haven’t been out for a few years now and we never had them back when they were a special edition flavor so we can’t speak to if they are better or not :/
They are MUCH better, however, than the pumpkin sandwich cookies from target 😆

We loved it! Saw a review on Instagram that had a VERY different experience with it though 😆 the crust look sad and thin and they said it was the same texture at the cheesecake itself? Definitely not what we had here in the video. That was one THICK crunchy crust! Mashing a massive hunk of that into the ice cream sounds like an EPIC move 🔥🔥🔥

Loved the video and it’s content. It’s different and really helpful if you live in the USA. Over in the UK we like the chocolate orange combination which we get a lot of at Christmas but don’t have anything like the pumpkin madness you guys have 😊 although our mince pies do you the same kind of spice mix 👍

The pumpkin blondies topped with the pumpkin ice cream 😍 I saw those blondies during my last trip and was very tempted. Have you tried their pretzel bagels? Would recommend!

As huge cinnamon roll guys, trust us, we looked 😆 We checked all the Instagram accounts for what to try and find beforehand but unfortunately there were many things we weren’t able to get our hands on at the end of the day on a weekend 😩
