      Do you know what the max temp a mold can withstand? Trying to make caramel molds :-)

      @@hjhuk555 I read it’s best for casting materials under 50 degrees C

    this is awesome! can this printer be used to make silicon moulds for fondant or edible pieces? in my country I've been told that resin is toxic,

    • @nicolebalian
      @nicolebalian  Před 6 měsíci

      Thank you! the mold itself is not made from resin, it’s a thermoformed sheet that is certified food safe PETG plastic. Unfortunately nothing that comes from a 3D printer is deemed food safe at this time.

    You are taking it to the next level girl! How reliable is that vacuum machine?

    What resin do you use? ive been trying to do silicon on some of my prints but i think the chemistry between the two doesnt allow it to cure

    • @nicolebalian
      @nicolebalian  Před 6 měsíci

      Honestly, I wasted sooo much silicone trying to figure this out. Its not the type of resin that is the problem, its actually the silicone. The chemistry between platinum silicone and resin cause cure-inhibition. Getting a "Tin-based" or "tin-cure" silicone will not react :)

      Oh thank you! I keep forgetting the name of it lol
      I may also want to build a vacuum former since the size i need they would be very pricey lol
