    The good thing about Huawei is that despite USA sanctions on it Huawei is still able to survive and not collapse. The bad thing about it is they need nationalistic supporters and very diehard fans in order to keep it relevant and the price for this support is very expensive phones a d Huawei products. As a casual and with so many china bbk phones to buy from it's hard for me to buy another Huawei under such circumstances. Nonetheless though they are already putting up a very good fight against USA already.

      @MCHuang Před 3 měsíci +47

      I'm not a Huawei user, but your statement of them needing people who are nationalistic or loyal to the brand to be relevant are contradicted by the rest of your comment. The fact that there is are so many other Chinese brands at more competitive prices means Huawei continues to bring something real to the table and not just a reliance on the brand name.

    • @anglo-saxonconnor817
      @anglo-saxonconnor817 Před 3 měsíci +30

      The Huawei brand name itself literally mean the pride of Chinese and China have a very large population within china who are taught to be nationalists and protective of their own country. Factor in the fact that there are also large body of Chinese moving and migrating all over the world these days as well as Huawei is actually a very good and solid tech making company which is popular with many Europeans this company have been able to survived after so many years of sanctions by USA. If there is no sanctions to begin with Huawei fanbase will be even bigger and would have already toppled off apple and Samsung off the global sales charts.
      Before the sanctions Huawei was the fastest uprising brand giving the most innovations and quality in their products for a fraction of what the top selling phones are asking for.
      After the sanctions their star power fade alot but there are still many people who still remember Huawei in its heyday and also admire Huawei guts against America and these global fanbase is still able to keep Huawei afloat and thriving under current circumstances.

      There are quite a few billions people in this world right now. Many are casual over many things in life and I'm one of them despite being quite a high earner. Lol But there are even more people in this world who are very obsess with what they use,have and want in life and a phone somehow manage to be one of the most prominent and easily seen object for these people to assert and validate their style,status and beliefs in this world. Quite funny and exasperating but unfortunately our world is really like this right now and people cannot be taught or forced to change themselves if they don't want to to begin with.
      That's the kind of world we live in right now. 🙂

    Pretty impressive, from what I've seen so far. The Kirin 9010 is its only (even though a substantial) weakness. With Google services and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, this would be the definitive flagship in my eyes. Too bad.
    I will say, however, that Dimensity 8200 Ultra performance is not too shabby for a chip based upon a SMIC node. Sure, their cutting-edge stuff is pretty much a copy of TSMC's N7 node, but given what they can achieve with it, they must have at least that down pretty well.

The absence of the Play store significantly diminishes the phone's value, rendering its impressive hardware largely irrelevant. Without the Play store's extensive app ecosystem, the phone is essentially a device with subpar software, severely limiting its overall appeal. Give me Google and give me the Pixel phone exclusive and everything that goes along with it, and that's a dynamic experience to say the least.

    Given Huawei's stated intention to move away from an Android based OS, and introduce the Harmony Next OS later this year, will the global release Pura 70 series running the EMUI OS be transferred over to the Harmony OS?

    • @gantenbeinable
      @gantenbeinable Před 3 měsíci +1

      Global Huawei phones will always stay with EMUI and be able to run apk apps.

    • @swedenevguru8483
      @swedenevguru8483 Před 3 měsíci

      Harmony Os next will only support dedicated apps and not Apk or Aosp. So im sure they stay on Emui for global devices. 10 000 dedicated Chinese apps in December and nothing else will not work international and no support of Gbox because of no Aosp and dedicated Harmony Kernel

    A Mid range chipset in a flagship device is one of the biggest disappointments of the phone, i hate you, Huawei for doing that. You could have used Snapdragon 8 gen 2 4g version instead

    • @Gavynn-zf5xq
      @Gavynn-zf5xq Před 3 měsíci +8

      What part about the US sanctions do you not understand ?

    • @astronomylover996
      @astronomylover996 Před 3 měsíci +1

      I understand that. But i also know that Huawei used 4G versions of Snapdragon chips for past few years. They could have just used a 4G version of Snapdragon 8 gen 3/2 and still retain that flagship power.
      And also, I heard that despite the US restrictions, Huawei's mate 60 pro is powered by a flagship level kirin 9000s chip, with 5G built-in.
      Now you tell me, why they didn't gone to the 4G or Kirin route for this Pura 70 series.?

    • @anglo-saxonconnor817
      @anglo-saxonconnor817 Před 3 měsíci +2

      Because they need money to give you what you want. They are already struggling in sales after the sanctions and so they can't go down this route in the long-term so they optimise their chips and focus on other areas of their phones instead.

    • @anglo-saxonconnor817
      @anglo-saxonconnor817 Před 3 měsíci +5

      Also each time Huawei tried to work past usa sanctions USA throw new curve ball at Huawei. Huawei can't install gms directly in the beginning and can only use gateway methods together through it. Huawei cannot use 5g and just when Qualcomm can create non 5g flagship chips for Huawei Huawei cannot use certain nanometre chip size wafer. The list goes on. If you are Huawei what can you do in their shoes?🙂

    • @astronomylover996
      @astronomylover996 Před 3 měsíci

      Yep, There is that too. Who knows what happens next..?
      If the US restrictions never happened, Huawei would've become the "Smartphone Superpower". But now, Samsung is currently the King of The Android, while Apple is suffering from Illegal Smartphone Monopoly Lawsuit. Things are not better than before now

    The Lack of Google support can actually be a benefit, it just depends on how you look at it
    Because so many people out there trying to de-google their phones
    Especially now where google starts to inject bloatware to my phones through updates and starts to telling me what to do with my phone and all of the files in it.

      You can use Gms native with Microg that doesnt work are Google Pay and Google Assistant. You can even get Android Auto to work properly when a youtube review tested it. I dont like a virtual machine like Gbox for that something else. Tryed Google Fier vs Virtual Machine when i own P40 pro and i can save native Gms are alot better and now with Microg its alot easier and even works better so thats good. I dont play games on my phone so im sure i havent seen any difference in my use case and i only want a good camera and possibilities to get the apps im using daily.
