Thank you Stevie
Great information Ivan, for anyone thinking of buying a static caravan. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you too Sheila
I really love your videos. They're very natural and informative. I also love your accent/dialect. As a Brummie, I have to say that we don't hear enough regional accents. Keep up the excellent work, and stay happy.
Thanks Ivan, great info' to help lots of people that are in similar situations that you and Ginny have ended up in. Been there etc. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Another great video. Thank you and please keep going. Love the channel x
Thank you Joanna much appreciated
Great to know Ivan we think our van is a 2017 but now we know how we will be checking. Our site is 10 years then a yearly check but I have neighbours who live on site and they have been there over 15 years and have had no issues with the park owners, as you mentioned they want to make sure the caravan and decking are in good condition and if all ok there is no problem. Thanks for the info
Thank you too Fiona
Hi Ivan the sight I was on in Scotland 🏴 was privately owned and if your caravan is in good condition he they will give you 22 years and for lodges 27 and the huge lodges for ever if they are in good condition it was a lovely caravan park I know some parks are 15 and 10 years only I know in America they let you keep then until they fall apart some videos I watch in America some peoples caravans are years old but are beautiful it should be same in uk 🇬🇧 great informative information as always it’s nice to know the things your sharing 👍👍
Thank you Anne much appreciated
Another informative video Thankyou. Also thought about you both today - Aldi are selling rattan balcony planters online £6.99 if that’s of any use to you? We were so close at buying a static a few weeks ago - the ground rent stopped us at nearly £600 a month so these videos are great advice 👍
Thank for the tip
and £600 WOW
Thank you Bessie
Thanks Ivan, great information.
Could you possibly do a video on transporting a van like yours to a another site. I.e the logistics, companies that provide the service, cost etc.
These videos are very helpful, my partner and I are considering this way of living. We are weighing up pros and cons before we make a decision.
Thanks brother. 👍
Will look into it Thank you Kate
hi i watched your video of the 60days and u need to leave for a few days, ive had a caravan for years and my brother now lives in it, there is no 60 day rule he can stay there 10 month out of 12 because park is only open 10 months of the year, have u though about moving your caravan to a park that allows u to stay ?
Will see how it goes then maybe look into that
Thank you Jenny
Great info cheers

it seems everything is so unreal living in a house its getting harder every year is there a way out look ar narrow boats the river tax well thats what i call it thousands of pounds a year so they got us by the balls ive looked at lots of ways but im out of luck
I think we are all in the same boat (no pun intended)
The govt hate us.....😮
Tax you out of existence...
As you say " River tax ....caravan tax fees ...
They dont want us having any freedoms!
@@CaravanLifeUK NO I AGREE I HAVE LOOKED UP EVERY THING I CAN THINK OFF OUR RENT IS 131.00 OER WEEK COUNCIL TAX IS WORSE IT WONT BELONG BEFORE WE MAY BE IN THE SAME BOAT AS YOU HOW EVER THE NARROW BOAT THING IS REAL DESR HAVE A LOOKON GOOGLE mind ya the people on the rivers are very nice i send them a lot of messages but i cant afford it i looked at cabins thats worse its the same they only let you have holidays its a lot of shite
Yes the UK is desperate in trying to find a decent priced place to live. Caravan, boat, static home, flat, all have their own problems.
Being single I am off to Thailand to live when of pension age 😊
Not sure if it's already been discussed but anyone who buys a static and then goes on to try and sell it will take a massive hit. Touring vans hold their price far better. People need to be aware of this before buying a static caravan. I can't tell you the number of times I've heard people going off on a rant when they've been quoted a price for selling a van they bought just a few years ago!
If we wanted to sell we can sell private and transfer the ownership this site allows that
Thank you
@@CaravanLifeUK Yeah. Good luck with that. Wish you all the best in the van anyway.
I agree my husband and I brought a brand new caravan it cost £60,000 and then due to family problems we had to sell it, we tried privately but had no interest, the site wouldn't let us put up for sale signs in our van, and told us if we did manage to sell privately that the new owners would pay more for site fees each year as it wouldn't have been sold through them, in the end we had to sell back to the site and only got £29,000 this was all the money we had worked for all our lives, it was heartbreaking!
Meant to say we only owned the van for 1 year
yet ours is in the usual place which is on the wall behind the cutlery drawer
Yes different vans have different places Thank you
How old is ivans caravan?what's he going to do when he's away from the site in winter and there's 50 60 mile winds blowing he's buckets around the site?what birth us ivans caravan now he's taken the twin beds out?my grandad had a stactick for 20 years, and he got forced of6the site due to the caravans age
We will be fine the plants will have finished by then and all pots put in the rear storage area so nothing will be blowing around and we prefer to have a dressing room instead of a twin bedroom that we dont use as saving space is important
Thank you Keith
