We all need a friend like this guy.

A fan from San Diego, CA
I watched this about 10 times before and during my construction- thank you!
Glad we could help out 👍 ^Billie

Glad to hear it, nice work 👍 ^Matt
Because of your video I’ve built the most beautiful pergola in my backyard. Thank you.
Just used this video to build our pergola here in Texas. Easy to follow, even if our vocabulary is a little different. Cheers, mate!
We used it too, only ours has a sway on it, not sure what's gone wrong 😔
@@christinaedwards3806I’d say you’re posts aren’t set deep enough in concrete, or the earth around them is too soft
Some men are so talented with a measuring tape all they need is a single blade of grass to run accurate measurements!
Right wtf was that about!
There was a nail in the ground
@@jamescoupland667 but it was still funny
😂
And without the need of checking right angles.
Dude, you got some skills! Well done sir!!
I'm amazed your 'followers' aren't higher! All your guys jobs are great! I know how to build all of your projects also being a carpenter but still love watching them all 👍
Metric measurements. If he used imperial he would have Canada, brits, and Americans watching.
@@LoneWolfRanging He’d need to talk a bit slower and with fewer syllables too. 😉
@@LoneWolfRangingbritain has no problem with metric
@@DiscoFang Maybe for some across the pond from the us, I follow just fine. Measurements really don't matter so much so long as you do the job correctly. I sometimes use metric where being a bit more exact is important. For a job like this, use imperial or metric, whatever you know.
It does frustrate me when working on a vehicle where it seems they use both metric and imperial fasteners.
@@douglasvamateurradioandmore On Japanese vehicles it can go another layer. JIS units come into play. Ever wondered why your Philips screwdriver doesn’t seem to work well on some Japanese cars? Because they’re not Philips or even posidrive.
You've got a nice job on this! I appreciate your effort just to make us learn from your skills. Keep up inspiring people. Glad to share this post to all of my best buddies. Great details!
sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account??

What is this guy hooking his tape measure too in the grass? This guy is magic.

Is there a material list for this? Any plans? That would be very helpful.

Great video! He makes it look easy.
It's the most beautiful pergola in the... yard. (the whole wide yard).
Brett... present! Jermaine... present! Murray.... present!
New Zealand likes to rock the party!!
I've got a build to do like this, but it's not on grass. It's on tarmark. We're using metal fence post holders, what would be the best way to make sure they do not break free of thier holdings in strong wind? (They will be bolted in place.)
Wow! He’s such a pro! 👏💥💯
It's been long since i saw someone on youtube use a real hammer 🔨
great video
This bloke can do anything !
Excellent
These videos are so helpful.. I'm gunna shoot down bunnings and build some stuff 😃
Good work thanks
Nice one, thanks.
Good Job well done.
Might suggest filling the post hole concrete approx 2 in. above grade (using sono-tube collars for trim). Purpose of this is to allow water runoff and prevent pooling and rot of the uprights over time.
H5 posts won't rot, it's treated for submersion in water/flooded areas.
very nays easy project thanks for u job
That looked easy 👍
Good work mate
well done................. thanks!
Looks awesome!! You had lost me at "Profiles with strangling", then lost me with that chainsaw action. I'm not a professiona You did a great job.
Good job!👍👍

I never been to NZ , every thing I see and hear about it , I like a lot , would love to visit one day . The other thing is I love building , been doing it for a long time , so buddy job well done , easy and not over thought . Also turned out very nice . I’m a new subscriber, see you around the YT .
Nice job.
Using your instructions to build one.
Good to hear Jeffery - keep us posted with how you get on 👍 ^Meg
Hi Karrina,
If you wanted to put posts in your planter boxes to hold a pergola you would need a lot of concrete in the bottom of them, at least 450mm deep, so that would make your planters very high. You would also need to have drain holes through the concrete to allow water to escape, so all in all you could but it would look a little strange. It would be best to concrete posts into the ground the build your planters around the posts. Hope that helps.
SR
Thank you ☺️
Thanks man!
