    Well done and quite interesting job shown very detailed and point for point. I am a service guy too, only in "industry e!gineering" i miss a touch of tlc in this way of working ! Why is it that just a bit of tlc is missing? Mount everything with a small lick of grease and it will come loose mich easier in the future in stead of being all corroded together.

    When one removes the wheel bearing shaft loosen the nut some then hit nut gently with a hammer to free the disc. Never strike bare threads with a hammer. ⚒️👍🙄

      Hi! You can find this information in the technical documentation for repair of your particular model of car.

    Hi, great video thank you.
    Out if interest, can I replace the top mount without taking the whole strut off as I’ve just had mine replaced with brand new ones, along with brand new struts, and they’re now making a ‘creaking’ sound when I turn the steering wheel, much like the spring is moving. (I’ve tried moving the spring by hand and it doesn’t move)
    Have you come across this before and what would be your expert opinion please, apart from taking it to a mechanic.
    Thank you

    18.05 You shouldnt tighten the stabilizer with hex, you can see how rubber twists, its lifetime is lowered now for sure. But good work anyway!

    Why are you disconnected to drive shaft?

    • @vasek987
      @vasek987 Před 6 měsíci

      because it is main limiting factor for removing the strut from spindle

  • @Balenza345

    At 0.54 it says use an end bit no5.My 2008 transporter has no such fitting. When I used the spanner to loosen the ball joint, the ball simply spun round and round.The only way I can see to remove the joint is to cut it off with an angle grinder. As I don't have the replacement connecting rod I decided to leave the job for my mechanic.
