The guidelines you use to draw the face are very unique. I'm interested in how they help you :)
The eyes are to line them up and you're able to createperspective. The line in the middle is to basically keep where the face is in place and It doesnt look wonky and it also gives guidelines where the mouth will be and how it will look. Ppl also use the lines on the eyes to line up the shape so they dont look disproportionate
If you're looking for a guide on how to break the face into shapes like what he did, I highly suggest this ergo.josh video. He does a great job explain how the guidelines help and what each section of the guides is specifically for.

I have no formal art education. Everything I've learned has been trying to figure out this stuff on my own, with a little influence from Andrew Loomis and some other Japanese artists. I've actually improved a lot as an artist watching your content, because as it turns out, my natural process is almost identical to yours, so your videos are really relateable.

This is so very relaxing to watch.
Gotta appreciate that almost every mangaka goes through this whole process of them doing all that work and then handing in the drafts and editing it then publish at last. No wonder only one new chapter gets released every month for attack on titan, no surprise amirite? 💀
