- Government Quarters - Classification of Residences.
Eligibility of an officer for Government accommodation shall be determined as per the Grade Pay of such officer in his present post held in the Government of India.
Date of priority in respect of lower type accommodation i.e. Type-I to Type IV shall be the date of joining the service in the Government of India.
in the case of Secretaries to the Government of India and Additional Secretaries to the Government of India, the date of joining in the Government of India at Delhi shall determine their inter-se seniority subject to condition that no junior batch officer of the same service shall get priority over his senior batch officer. Where the date of joining is the same, the date of retirement shall determine their inter-se seniority on the principle that the earlier date of joining the Government of India, irrespective of the peace of posting and service/batch seniority, shall determine the inter-se seniority. Every Government Officer in occupation of Government accommodation shall submit his application.

Yes but only if govt is not able to provide you quarter of your standard
Yes you can but then you cannot live or get govt quarters if you want govt quarters to live then you have to give hra

Generally all have waiting period bcoz govt policy is to make accommodations only 80% of the strength.
in weatern command chandimandir cantt even peon cook, is living in type 3 and Ldc udc grade c living in type 1 ..
and rype 2 peon is in type 3 reason is seniority.😀
No it's not what it looks like after 30 years of service every one gets 4200 grade pay which is eligible for type 3 that's why govt drivers also gets type 3 after 30 years of service completion they get 4200 grade pay
Slightly wrong , type 4 have 2 toilets wheras type 5 quarter are 4BHK besides attached toilets in every room except one . Type 6 quarter are 5 BHK.

Type 8 most likely. Level 16,17,18 all type 8. Level 15,14- type 7. Then level 12,13- type 6. And so on.

2) special Type 4(grade pay 6,600)
