Thank you for talking about your experience traveling to Ghana during this pandemic. The information is very helpful. It would be interesting to know what happens if travelers get a positive result after the COVID test in Ghana. When traveling to the Philippines, it seems like you have to quarantine at a pre-approved hotel for quarantine no matter what your test results are.

Did you have to pay for testing here in the uk for covid or did you do it by the nhs one for free I don’t want to pay for test here then also pay for it there where did you get your test done over here in the uk? Please let me know
You have to pay for the test if you need it urgently ,the NHS one has a long waiting list so u will wait forever and you can’t without symptoms
I paid mine via my private hospital

@@agarmendes1916 Hey hun, hope it's ok if I answer😊 All arrivals in GH need to have a PCR test done by a private body, Kotoka won't accept NHS test regardless of the airline. I know BA currently have a deal for cheaper at home pcr kits so it might be worth checking out if klm have something similar. Stay blessed x

What does it matter if it’s from a private body ahhhh opaaa these people are just exploiting us now seriously so even if KLM accepted it when I get to Ghana they won’t accept it I don’t mind paying for the $150 test in Ghana but to also pay that actual more here in the uk is a lot that’s £300 or more all together test here in uk London where I live are going from £170-200 and more lucky my pharmacy knows a practice that can do it for £150 so that for sure is pending on my list there are some testing that are £120 that’s the lowest I’ve seen but they aren’t rapid results and I will have to post it myself the irony I fly Sunday I’ll do the free one wait 24hrs hopefully get my results then if not I’ll do the £150 on Friday rapid results hopefully it will all work out but please let me know if you are sure sure if Ghana won’t take my NHS results because if I managed to get to Ghana with it if klm allowed it what will happen in Ghana? 😦 😧 😟 🙈🙊 hopefully nothing 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾 but let me know if it’s for sure oh and do you know if klm airline will take it (THANK YOU SO MUCH)
@@agarmendes1916 I feel you sis😓 I’d much rather they be this strict than super lax and the numbers start going up again in gh though. Especially with elections and Christmas and alladat. It’s a bit annoying but ahh what can we do🤷🏾♀️ All the official GH travel pages, the uk gov page for travel to Ghana and everyone I know who have been have confirmed that they won’t accept nhs test. Airlines won’t accept it either because if they do and bring people in with it, then they risk getting sanctioned. Best of luck with getting it sorted, I hope it all works out in your favour

I did it through a private lab in London
Hiya, hope it's ok if I also chip in. If you're flying with BA, they currently have an offer for cheaper at home test kits for £95 so might be worth checking out. Stay blessed x

I am told it is either pay online or do it in Ghana, but it is very convenient online and accelerates your test on arrival and check out in Ghana.
