Hi Ken!
For those of you wondering what "Kombu cha" is: The effects of "Kombu cha" (Kelp Tea) is increase of iodine and salt intake. There is "Ume Kombu cha" which is enhanced with a little acidic plum flavor that adds alkaline into the diet, too. If you have hypothyroidism, this is one way to get your iodine up, but, if worried about salt, there's powdered and capsuled kelp root (rich in iodine) sold in the market these days, and very cheap compared to iodine supplement, and very healthy for your bowel movement. If you have hyperthyroidism, this is the stuff to avoid. However, it will manipulate your TSH level very big on how often you take it. Yup, that's me.
Oh yeah, kombu cha is a Japanese drink that does mean kelp tea, but the Kombucha that everyone is drinks and is the trendy super drink in the market is actually a different drink with Chinese origins. It’s some weird yeasty fermented drink that tastes like alcohol and vinegar. The Japanese actually call it Koucha kinoko (red tea mushroom).
Nobody was wondering
Or you can just be normal and take a synthetic thyroid hormone tablet prescribed by a doctor.

HOW does one get through medical school with this type of humour...
Bruh all my classmates would tell me to drop out
@Živilė Dulevičiūtė Gallows humor and whatnot is very common among people in the medical profession in my experience. When I sat in for surgery observations (not for medical school, mind), the surgeon, when he had time, would casually talk the nurses and technologists up and tell jokes, and then get serious when he had to focus. Jeong would fit right in to most places I've been to.
@Živilė Dulevičiūtė I think this has to do with being emotionally healthy. I'm not a doctor, neither american, but I've done therapy because I was struggling to do my job and studies. In fact, what I discovered is that I had emotional problems and since I began to deal with those things, my routine of studying got better and better. it's like I was doing the same effort but I can absorb much more information, learn thing faster than bf. So yeah, I think when you're positive with the world around you, you're more productive.
You're missing the point. Sometimes you _need_ this type of humor to get through medical school. It's like actors who make silly faces and say goofy things right before the director yells ACTION, and then they do some spectacular serious acting. You gotta get one side out of your system to thoroughly bring out the other side
"The brighter the picture, the darker the negative"
- Rupert Thorne
Garrett Valdal I’d say many doctors I worked with in school had a witty, dry, sense of humor. We use it to deal with the immense pressure and stress of our situation; being responsible for the well-being and lives of others.
