Like placing a stair in the water and the water appear in the stairs... this is possible in the newer minecraft versions where fences, slabs and stairs can be "water locked" ? Sorry I don´t know what your question is 😅

I think that could work, you can also build the roof with the same blocks you used for the cherry wood castle... I think it was Crimson Wood
