Greatly appreciate this feedback as I have over 20 years riding street and am selling my ride so I can get a KTM390 Adventure. My boss recently completed a trip out West and raved how he kept up with the larger bikes. I live in Ontario Canada so I am positive this bike will win my heart. Your video sure helped. Thanks dude! I will tell you this, The first time you go out on a trail on that thing it will just having you grinning from ear to ear. I know for me it sure did. Safe riding!

This video is causing me anxiety.. at the same time I gotta give you credit for putting yourself out there and giving a newbie perspective. Keep at it man you will learn that momentum is your friend. It is not tense arms vs lose arms, it is entirely about being balanced over the center of gravity so that the bars are just about your controls. Same as on the road, if you are holding on for dear life you will get tired quick, you need to trust your bike and lean in.
Great vid mate. I’m intending to go green laning in the UK on my 390 which I used to do on a capable Beta Xtrainer 300 2 stroke. But was interesting to see how the KTM390 handles it all. I have more in the plans, Work takes over as usual but when our busy season ends I plan to do a lot more with the good ole 390 Adventure.
Guys with legitimate dirt bikes, "yeah just come down to the single track with us with your bike that weighs 130 pounds more than ours. We'll just rip around." JK, those guys seem like cool pals.
Off-road is where it's at! 390 will do just fine - trust me!

Try and find Chris Burch talking about the 390, there are some helpful hints.
You need to change front sprocket to one less tooth (same as duke 250) and stalling issue will be sorted
Looks like Trophy Club. Lots of sand out there and can be tricky when its dry. I have a 390 Adv as well. Coming from 30 years of street riding and just now going to dirt.
Is that the area that use to be called Marshall's Creek?

Great stuff! Looking at the KTM or the Himalayan, maybe the Xcape. Although looking at what you just rode not sure I'd want to be on the xcape as a novice. (Its more of a road bike really I think).
