Dear Pastor Hamrick,
You mentioned that King David died at age 70. Your Congregation might be interested to know that according to The Ancient Jewish Oral Tradition, David was originally destined to die during his birth, but Adam was originally destined to live forever. However, after Adam sinned, G-d decreed that Adam would only live for 1000 years. Adam looked into the future and saw that David would die during David's birth and asked G-d if G-d would permit Adam to give David some of Adam's Life to extend David's Years. G-d agreed to allow Adam to give 70 years of Adam's Own Life to David. Instead of living for 1000 years, Adam lived to just 930 years. (Gen. 5:5).

God walked with all his life. David God called David to kill Goliath the Giant. God called David to be King. I wonder were the Jew's find that Adam who committed the first sin, God put out of the Garden of Eden had anything to do with David's life? Would be an interesting read.
