Celebrating World Oceans Day 2024 ‘Awaken New Depth’ at MRC

The Maritime Research Center (MRC) celebrated World Oceans Day on June 8, 2024. During the
webinar, MRC Interns showcased their project presentations and deliver insightful thoughts on the realities of the UDA. This was followed by illustrious presentations by MRC Fellows and other internal team members.
The Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA) framework, prepared by the MRC, has received widespread recognition for promoting safe, secure, and sustainable growth in the tropical littoral waters of the Indo-Pacific region. The Digital Ocean construct supported by the UDA framework will significantly enhance good maritime governance. It encourages the pooling of resources and synergising of efforts across stakeholders and has devised technology tools to support coastal communities' livelihoods.
