***** "Best drummer award" not "biggest fan-base award". In the end, PTV appeals to a lot of teen girls, and unfortunately that includes both of you (Maria Torres). TWA and ABR aren't my favorite bands at all, but I do listen to their music and I can easily say both drummers are way above Mike. Mike is what you call a "flashy" drummer. Drum fills don't equal heart and soul.

I freaked out when I saw Josh was nominated. Him and Mike are my favorite drummers. I would've been excited if he won. I am also excited that Mike won. Good job Mike!

whether you think pierce the veil wins awards because they are more popular or whether they are just “sO cuTE”, you have to face the fact that’s not what they are. pierce the veil ( if you voted honestly ) is a really freaking good band and they deserve the awards they got.
mike, whether other’s are better, is not the worst. he is so awesome at his drums and he sounds amazing on them. i’m sure there were some people who voted him just cause they were their favorite band, but in the end whether you want to believe it or not, mike won the award.
i’m sick of people trash talking pierce the veil’s ( or ANY band’s ) fans because they believe other bands were “better”. it makes me sad we can’t just enjoy the music and try not to let competition get in the way ( even though that’s what this awards show is about ?? lol but anyway ).

Hey dude! I'm a new ptv fan and I read your rant lol I 100% agree. I guess now the new hate is the allegations he has now unfortunately but I watched a few of the drum cams and he is PASSIONATE in his performance. Blood sweat and tears, single pedal kicks, 0 formal drum lessons. He's well deserved that award imo hands down.
Also idk when the allegations will officially be laid out and idk what he does nowadays but all I hope is for people to get what the deserved.
@@justanomaly you're crazy for digging up this comment lol. tbh it's been years since those allegations were made and i remember feeling so frustrated no closure had been given on the case, he just sorta disappeared and it was slowly forgotten so i don't think it'll ever be fully discussed by the members.

I agree that Pierce The Veil has a pretty big fanbase and i actually think Mike is a really good drummer,but since i haven't heard the other drummers or have any knowledge about technique or "skills" in the drum area of music ,i can't compare him with others or judge others. I just simply LIKE the way the drums sound in the ptv songs,and i actually believe that for a person who hasn't taken any lessons,that he knows what the hell he is doing. I have no idea if the others that were nominated have taken classes or something,and i don't listen to any of the other bands as well,to be able to hear the drums in the songs,but i am 100% sure that the drum part of a song is what gives it a really nice touch up and makes it more enjoyable. I personaly love hearing more drums in songs and since i love the drums and have only heard the drums in the Pierce The Veil songs,i voted for Mike. Everyone that has got talent got to be nominated,and even if you do believe that Mike won the award because of fans voting like crazy,well ,if they weren't a good quality band,why would they have won those awards that were based of fans voting for them? They have a lot of fans,which means a ton of people appreciate their music and voted for them because they thought they deserved to win the awards and since i am i love with the meaningful lyrics and the catchy and awesome rythms of their songs,i chose to vote for them in the first place. I also voted for other band,like ,Bring me the Horizon, All Time Low etc. Because they deserved to win some of the awards as well. People should start uderstanding that what is done is done and should probably appreciate Mike a little bit more. That's all that i wanted to say,and if you're gonna transform into your final form after reading this and start writing a hateful comment towards Lil Fuentes , i can tell you that it won't change a thing and that is useless. Anyhow,congratulation to him,he worked hard enough for some recognition and he got it ;)

Matt Greiner is one of the greatest drummers in this whole genre. Very humble guy, very deserving, very talented. August Burns Red sort of reminds me as like the SA Spurs of this whole deal. They're an amazing band and yet are so underrated with so many gifts
