- Just a bonus cafe vlog to end this month. I didn't really edit this vlog, I'm posting a raw one for you to see how we work in real time. If you live in the area where you are not able to go to and sit in the cafe at the moment, and if you miss the ambiance of being in a cafe, or if you're just curious with how a cafe operates during this tough time (especially in Stage 4 of Victoria's lockdown) this video is for you. If you see me or Rowan being quite silly and mischievous in here, it's just what we are, lol. Why are you taking a bit of the coffee grounds out?
✨ The coffee recipe requires 23gr dose of the coffee ground, and most of the time, the grinder is being inaccurate, either giving me too much or too little, so I have to scoop it out :)

The constant background noise is perfect to block sounds from my neighbours. The sound from the grinder etc is also pretty relaxing.
I worked as a barista for two and a half years and I miss it like crazy, that contact with clients and making coffee all day long was magical ❤️❤️ I'm Italian so for us just cappuccino and a loot of espresso 😁 you go girl!

Cool to see you grinding for espresso before people even order, so you can get drinks prepared even quicker. Also shows how massive the espresso based drinks market is there. How many filter/batch brews do you sell compared to espresso drinks?
Yes, a lot of them are our daily customers so most of the time I already knew what they're going to order. Plus grinding beforehand saves you at least 3-4 seconds which kinda matters in a rush hour :) We don't really sell that much filter.. We'd probably only two batches in general, three batches max.. 1 batch = 1 Lt = 60gr

Laura, after the powdered coffee is filled in the green container, everytime why do you remove the top part with a spoon and put it in another bowl? I have seen in other videos too.

How does the machine know when to stop? Sometimes its 28 seconds, sometimes 32 / 30 / 31 etc.
