It is kind of a strange thing. We expect people who perform tasks for us to be recipients of that same service. Not sure when that started. But it's like, would you eat a meal prepared by someone who doesn't eat it? It reminds me of those hair club commercials as a kid "I'm not just the PRESIDENT of the hair club for men.. I'm a CLIENT!"
But many heart surgeons have never had any surgery of any type. I've had bbq ribs prepared by vegans that blew me away. I mean, should overweight people not hire physical trainers who have never been fat? I think it helps us to identify with the person providing a service, but it doesn't mean they aren't the best at what they do.

Lizette Martinez who appears to be an amazing tattoo artist and her work is phenomenal. She has no tattoos. I don’t think I could let her tattoo me personally. I want someone who knows what it feels like 🤷🏻‍♂️
