- In a video shared on social media where the superstar meets with a fan in backstage at his recent Miami gig, some fans of The Weeknd declared that they heard the Canadian singer speak for the first time, although the singer has been heard speaking multiple times before, in cases such as interviews, movies, etc. Some even compared The Weeknd’s speaking voice to that of talk show host Trevor Noah.

His main outfit from After Hours also happens to bed red, which was the color of another iconic music/horror themed outfit 👀
Just my opinion, The Weeknd is very much his own, which is the only reason I make the comparison. His work is great, he looks like a total sweetheart and he keeps experimenting and trying new things! An artist ❤️

@Cris Dav i can explain that as someone from toronto here! we do have accents similar to those from places like new york or baltimore (and being that ny is literally right across our border it makes sense) depending on where in toronto you're from, others might have a flat or valley girl esque accent which depends again on where in toronto they're from so hope that explains it 😁

He stars on a TV show with Lilly Rose Depp. He’s been in movies like Uncut Gems. He’s been on late night shows like Jimmy Fallon, James Cordon, and Stephen Colbert. He’s been on Ellen and Graham Norton. He was even in a few sketches on SNL. He’s presented on award shows. Made acceptance speeches after winning awards.
