HI Max, Thanks to your and Greg's outstanding videos at age 59 I'm pursuing my life-long dream to get my private pilot certificate. Have finished ground school, will take the FAA written shortly, and begin flight training next month.
Continued success. Looks like you have the flow in the ideal order - get the written stuff out of the way, as the cockpit is not an ideal classroom.
Make absolutely sure you will have no issue getting a medical, before you go to the AME. . If any doubt there is no doubt.

Congratulations! I got my private at 38, then my instrument rating at 40. I’m now 60 and almost ready for my commercial checkride. It’s challenging to have waited that long but life happens. Nonetheless it is a rewarding journey. Best of luck to you on your aviation journey. I hope you enjoy your journey as much as I enjoy mine. 😎
Good luck. Age is no barrier you just need to be focused. I got my commercial licence age 39, just retired age 65 with the last 20 years on 757's

After the Angels were done, we stayed at our seats and watched all the private planes take off. I've never seen that many at once before. I bet there were ten take-off per minute...for over and hour. Very cool. Good job tower!
We really should have had computerized ATC 40 years ago. No chaos, no detours, no uncertainty, no holding patterns. Completely peaceful stressless flight

Another nice video Max! It's cool watching you fly into the Lakeland area since my flight school is at KLAL. The lady on 119.9 is the best controller in the area. Always so clear, direct, and easy to work with especially during practice approaches during instrument training.
