My Hero Academia (Japanese: 僕のヒーローアカデミア, Hepburn: Boku no Hīrō Akademia) is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers (called Quirks) in a world where they have become commonplace, but who still dreams of becoming a superhero himself. He is scouted by All Might, Japan's greatest hero, who chooses Midoriya as his successor and shares his Quirk with him after recognizing his potential, and later helps to enroll him in a prestigious high school for heroes in training.
The series has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected into 31 tankōbon volumes as of August 2021. The series has also inspired numerous spin-off manga, such as My Hero Academia: Smash!!, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes and My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions, as well as an anime television series by Bones. Its first season aired in Japan from April to June 2016, followed by a second season from April to September 2017, then a third season from April to September 2018, a fourth season from October 2019 to April 2020, and a fifth season premiered in March 2021. It has also received three animated films, titled My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, and My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission respectively. There are plans for a live-action film by Legendary Entertainment.
Both the manga and anime adaptation have received an overwhelming positive response from both critics and audiences, and are considered one of the best of the 2010s, with winning several awards including the 2019 Harvey Award for Best Manga. The typical power of love/friendship is the hero receiving (_) amount of power after a flashback.
Here, it's the villain's friends/comrades that help break his mental barrier that was restrictiong 90% of his power, to help them in their moment of need.

I will admit, it is cool to see the villains evolve too. But, I also admit, I am not the biggest fan of the directions things are going (even in the manga). Like, I am all fine with dark backstories, but the writer doing such a craxy twist with the themes of the characters, plus how some other things turn out... I don't know. Sometimes it comes out looming like edgy fan fiction (which is NOT me saying the series sucks or anything. This is just my opinion)

I would probably compare it to invincible. That particular amazon series has incredible violence, but that serves to elevate the heroics to a greater level as it simply isn't apparent whether anyone would succeed or fail.
You should cite a specific example if you want people to actually entertain your perspective

Tomura Shigaraki: Abusive household, killed his entire family at age 5 when he got his uncontrollable decay quirk, no one helped him when he was homeless afterward because they thought he was creepy and excused themselves by saying a hero would come, proceeded to be raised by a dangerous megalomaniac who would groom him into being a psychopathic mass murderer.
Dabi: Grew up with a terrible father and burned himself to near death in a forest fire when he was a teen, found out his apparent death changed nothing in his family and vowed revenge.
Toga: Her quirk made her crave blood but her abusive parents forced her to bottle it up until she eventually snapped and killed her classmate she had a crush on and drank his blood through a straw. Proceeded to become a serial killer who would drink the blood of her victims.
Twice: Lived a generally miserable life where his failures resulted in him falling further and further into rock bottom until he decided to use his quirk to become a criminal. That ended when his clones started killing each other when the couldn't agree on who was the original and he was forced to watch as they all died leaving him the only one left. The incident left him with severe trauma and psychological problems. He didn't even know if he was the original or not but was to afraid of disappearing to test it.
Spinner: Discriminated against for his heteromorphic quirk and bullied into being a shut in who immersed himself in games and anime to fill the void until he tried making something of his life after being inspired by Stain.
Gentle Criminal: Abusive household and his lack of skill in different fields didn't help. Wanted to be a hero but didn't do well in hero school until he was expelled for a rescue attempt gone wrong which resulted in him and his family getting sued and him getting cruelly kicked out. Met up with one of his high school friends later only to find out they didn't even remember him.
La brava: A romantic who was brutally rejected by her crush and called a stalker and fell into a deep depression afterwards until she stumbled across Gentle's videos.
Every single Nomu: a normal person who was killed and had their bodies genetically experimented on by a mad scientist to become undead killing machines.

I really wish they would've done better; I mean I know Shig is supposed to be the one against Re-Destro and they made Twice more than just an Asset to the League but they could've made it a bit better like Twice got as pissed as Goku when Krillin died and rocked Re-Destro's shit

ok people, idk about you, but im waiting for someone to write a fanfic about if deku had twices quirk, i feel like that would work very well (if you are taking ideas, and need a reason for bakugo to be the same, just make it so izuku doesn't know how to make anything with the sludge he makes at first... but like, only leave it for a year or so, no chance it takes until he gets to the sludge villain thing before he discovers how it works... now im curious if anyone will make it like twices quirk but more like momos... like, can create guns and stuff if he knows how to make them, but cant take too much damage )

he doesnt make a copy of his current self, he makes a copy of the person from whenever he measured them, which is why all the twice's spawn with their mask on still even though his is off

@@hunterhq295 the carrying toga is a lot more fair, but it's never established he needs his arms intact to create, he just creates from his hands, maybe not even since you see them kinda like summon behind him. If shigarakis arms were broken for example, he could still touch someone with his hand and activate his quirk. Maybe his arms weren't broken fully is all I could think for the toga part, like how they were slowly twisting toga's neck, maybe they were slowly breaking his arms, but he had his "pain" realization before they were fully broken

Twice had always been under the fear that he was never the original due to a His clones turning on him and killing each other, the Trauma left him wondering if he was ever real and he never cloned himself again, not only that he avoided injury as much as possible due to the clones being unable to take as much damage, but when his arms were broken and he still existed he realized he was real the whole time, and freed himself of the fear that kept him down
He can make copies of everyone including their quirks hence Hawks had to kill him before he made a fkn army of all for one's
