I absolutely love the concept with the ink swatch shop! I've been dreaming of something like this for a while, but ideally in Germany or Europe since New York is a bit too far for me. Keep pursuing your ideas - they're fantastic!
Yes, that will definitely be his first fountain pen as long as I'm able to keep my Sailors safe from him. Maybe it's the shiny parts but he seems to really love going for them haha
Instead of purchasing a stationary brass clip, consider a metal bag clip. Got a set of 4 gunmetal bag clips for $4 at a dollar store, save me a lot money for the same looks. You can get them in brass, stainless steel, even metallic flame.
