I like the style you use in your videos overall, very clear and a lot of numbers and specs, I like to buy business PCs for my personal use because they're more reliable, often better built, and it's easier to specify a smart card reader, which is a massively important feature for me as an end user.

    I love the Lattiude series of Dell's laptops. Precision is a little nicer for heavy lifting, but anyone doing heavy lifting isnt buying a 2 in 1. Surely if one did they would be probably disappointed. But for what these things are, they're pretty good. Everything I've came to expect out of Dell's business line. As a plus Dell has even gone back to using metal. I truly miss that Tri-metal design. Every bit of tank as the T series.

    Been looking for the perfect surface "clone" for some time but sadly this isn't quite it either. Love the replaceable storage because I can't stand the idea of a dead computer = data loss every time and the design is super appealing. The screen on the other hand definitely looses me, I've tried to do art on an old, low-model Surface 3 with the 1080p screen and it just feels too low resolution to make room for both art and art program.
    One huge benefit this has though it it comes with a very nice 3 year warranty from Dell's business lineup whereas surface only does the 1-year no matter how high you spec it.

    • @MrSuHwak
      @MrSuHwak Před 5 lety

      For those that find the courage to step off the Microsoft Hate bandwagon, there is a neat solution for no data loss just because your laptop/pc/harddrive craps out:
      Office 365, for €70 a year for 1 user. You get it with 1 Tb of cloud storage for OneDrive. I've been using it since years and years ago, because I was sick of the virusses that were included in the illegal Office 2007 versions. Its €100 for 6 users (6x Office installs you can share with family + 6x 1Tb Onedrive).
      If you're concerned about Microsoft snooping around (I would suspect Google to do so more) in your data, its not something I would worry about, because when (not if) that becomes public, Microsoft can just pack it in. They are banking on the trust of millions of users and large companies alike (that use Microsoft Azure). If that trust is broken in a meaningful way, Microsoft might just as well file for bankruptcy.

    We've been using Dell laptop computers for about 10 years. Still have one that's 8 years old and still doing well. BUT, I recommend staying away from this line of Dell computers. One of ours, which is barely 2 years old, just died. The battery swelled up and separated the screen from the frame and is no longer working. VERY disappointing. Dell just said that because the warranty expired, there's nothing they can do. That's for a "business class" laptop that costs well over $1,000! It could have ended with a battery fire.
    On the other hand, my personal microsoft Surface served me well for several years without any problem.

  • @summushieremiasclarkson4700

    Intriguing, however, I do believe it is a tad overpriced. $1500 is $500 too expensive for a ULV i5, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. For a normal laptop that doesn't require the engineering and design feats that this does, I would pay $700 for these specifications. $300 more for the materials, R&D and engineering seems about right. The i7 configurationn is just outrageous, $2100, really? Not that I think more is needed, but it's a bog standard display and has no discrete (low power) GPU.

      Lol, no thanks. I did switched to Linux for nearly three years, but in the end I have to switch back to Windows. Good alternative OS, but definitely not a true replacement even with Wine.

    Do not buy dell laptop they have large amount of heating problem. I am saying this based on my experience. Importantly they do not care once you buy it They neglect your complain by saying system is ok.

      A friend of mine and my dad also have a Dell laptop. They never complain anything about heat at all, everything is well.
