  • In North Conway, we take a ride on the North Conway Scenic Heritage Railway, excellent! We have only time to do the 1 hour return journey south to Conway and with the magnificent fall colours, it is a scenic ride! Our train is Diesel hauled (steam would have been awesome) and it's our first ride on an American railway; If I remember?
We travelled in 'Gertude Emma,' a car built way back in 1898 by the Pullman company. Restored in 1987, this car has seen a lot of action over the years!
Of course I spend the whole journey filming from the rear of the observation car.
Cameras used Fuji XT3 with 16-80mm lens
GoPro Hero 7 Black with Saramonic mic.
Music in order of play - 'After All' and 'Ferris Wheel' by Geographer. From the CZcams Music Library!

Stumbled on this video by chance. Watched the whole thing. As someone currently stuck in Florida, this makes me miss New England, where I'm from. I'd like to ride that train one day. Thank you for posting this.

New Hampshire has elements of the Old West but in New England. Mountains, rivers, lakes, forests, hey, even a sandy beach.

Listening to and feeling vibration gp7 with the track noise in the back round is weirdly relaxing even though it’s loud.

Yes, I agree, it's the best seat in the house! Now if it had been a steam loco, the photography would have been awesome, but I'd have been covered in soot. Hahaha, cheers!

Haha, yes! But personally the sound of a steam loco pounding away beats that! Still, I love the Diesel's horn, so typical of US railroads. Cheers!

I'm pretty sure this has become the most viewed Conway Scenic video on CZcams- and for good reason! This is an awesome review. Never rode in that coach and it is cool to see what it is like. Make sure to check out the Mountaineer! It goes up Crawford Notch and the views a great, especially in the dome car or the screen room.

This video has a date of Feb 11, 2020, yet it is "...in the fall". What week/month was it shot? We are planning to go approx. Nov 7, will we see these colors?

Hi Peter, Feb 11th, is the videos published date! We had a 12 day tour from October 5th and after a couple of days in Boston headed north to Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont etc. The fall colours were incredible, (see my other videos of NE) but I guess the colours peak at different times due to weather conditions and altitude. Hopefully, it will be great for you in November! Cheers👍
