This has always been one of my favorite accents to hear and I'm glad there's a tutorial on it. When I'm playing D&D I get sick of hearing nothing but British and American accents.
@Charles Case In short, think a cross between a video game and a choose your own adventure book, but far more open ended.
You create a character and can control their actions in a world created by a game master, the arbiter of the story.
You can do anything that is reasonably possible within this game, as the results of these actions are determined by your game master and/or dice rolls. It's super cool.

I love Jamaica, I want to visit this magical place one day!
I noticed that we share a little dialect - you and I in Louisiana. We often do not accentuate -or and -ar. Simply put, it is common to say controllah for controller, elevatah for elevator, etc. I had a coworker (in another state) who laughed hysterically when I added, "yeah" or "no" at the end of a sentence to add emphasizes that the preceding statement was either something that can or can not be done. We shared a good laugh, yeah. Haha. Glad to have discovered your channel. . first time I subscribe to any channel. Thanks for sharing and teaching patwah.

Jamaican Creole, Sierra Leon Krio, Nigerian pidgin have similarities to the English Creole Gullah. The word 'be" is used in place of is. In Gullah spoken by a small group of black Americans they say "we" instead of us.
Interesting facts! Thanks for watching :)
I have a video on the Gullah language if you're interested.

Since English modernize the Jamaican language so much it's hard for us to speak the raw tongue of our ancestors . Which is more of the patwa language than how we speak it today.

This is like the Pidgin(Creole) English we speak in Nigeria. For examples: Where? is also refer to as Weh? "The is also Di". So similar indeed.
Hey Aisha kindly can you teach me Jamaican language am from.Kenya Nairobi
I really enjoyed how you compared English to the dialect of Jamaicans. Your teaching style is very helpful. I also loved how you repeated words, Can you make videos that you spend more time going into more common language and phrases please?
in surinam (dutch guyana) we say
weh di book deh = pe a booku deh
me in love with you = mi lobi you
me want fi learn = mi wan fu leri
how much fu di = omen disi
I've made several visits to Suriname and can't wait to go back. I also noticed a lot of similarities between the patois and taki taki. This was especially true in Maroon communities closer to Albina. Suriname is very special. The people are cool and the food is amazing.
@@sanchitodelranchito back in the 17th century when England and the Netherlands swapped/exchanged Suriname for New York a lot of English families left Suriname for Jamaica and the interresting thing is that they brought big numbers of slaves with them to Jamaica......
Dutch is part of patois too soooo. Jamaica donât say âMeâ we say âmiâ
I like to tell yeah me did music in Jamaica patois am Puerto Rican sis fira mi musi videa almost finish it b up soun !
