Climbing up to ski view drive in gatlinburg tennessee, we started on ski mountain rd and drove up. snow started falling, and gets thicker more we drove up, this was taking with my g1 dash cam. from eestore on ebay. Before the fire, Nov/28/2016

The only problem staying in a cabin up in the mountains is if it snows and ices up while your up there you aren’t going anywhere.

Drove through there a year after the fire, in the fall of 2017, and that part of ski mtn was just destroyed. Even a year later not much had been rebuilt. The only area that seemed to survive the fire relatively unscathed was the side around and above ober gatlinburg.

Are all those people sitting blocking the road freaked out because they're sliding? Thank god you didn't have trouble going up, would be even scarier to slide backwards, but then you were on the safer side of the road at least. It's a bummer that coming down hill is the side where the drop off is. Something not fair about that. I'd be curious to know what you were driving. The Gatlinburg song is interesting, they sound damn pissed about Gatlinburg.
