- My entire MegaBloks / MegaConstrux Warthog collection 2009-2019
My criteria: had to be a released set, available at retail in box or an exclusive that could be reasonably acquired. If it was a Warthog, Rockethog, Gausshog, or Forgehog I included it and consider them Warthogs
Exceptions:
* 97187 was a reissue of the 96923 Rockethog vs Anti Aircraft Gun set. Since I had the original (96923) earlier set I ignored the reissue in that case. (I've actually acquired this set and in the future will build it live on stream and eventually release an updated compilation video featuring my entire warthog collection.. I've added 5-6 sets since this video..)
** I also ignored the warthog that could be cobbled together by sacrificing the EVA Last stand set and another set. It’s cool to make another set but as far as I’m concerned building a non released set by sacrificing hard to acquire sets isn’t worth my trouble and I’ll lose absolutely no sleep over it.
My collection features plenty of rare and hard to get sets and I’m proud of it. I’m also done looking at it and this video I produced as a by-product of the process to pack the sets away in bins to be archived long term.

I will likely update this video around Xmas 2020 as I have added the missing hog mentioned in this video and purchased all new sets since this video that have a warthog.
Each hog set will of course get its own live build stream and review video..
But ultimately when those are done I’ll have to make a new all warthog video.
Wow I remember getting that rocket hog from 2010 for my birthday, I wish I still had it.
Could be a pricey purchase now if you hunted for it. It’s a nice one.

for me the best one is the flame, that wine color of the seats its too good and the gungnir armor had a special style in this set
Two flame hog sets.. you must have been twice as happy. Not often that a set is reproduced. I found it annoying. I do admit it’s a special hog though. When I build out the newer ones I’m sitting on and redo this video I’ll top 5 my favs and the flame will likely make that cut.

My best performing video. In the mega realm I’m second only to Jang with this video. Nice slow burn to get to 35k views as I wrote this. I’ve got 5-6 new related Hog sets to build, review them make the new collection video. Right now I have every set ever made with a hog. Just gotta get to work and build them.

Thank you for the kind words. One of the biggest hurdles I face is that I have a hard time with putting out regular content. This is a hobby for me. I am trying to put out more stuff though.. I’m getting back into my reviews for lego abs non lego stuff like Mega and other brands. I’m also doing a lot of live streams where I’m encouraging people to join that chat while I stream. For those 18yrs and older I’ll even bring some of you guys on the stream to chill.. chat and build.

Something interesting I've found is there is a variation of 96866 UNSC Troop Transport Warthog that has the same number but is called Red UNSC Warthog and its built differently instead of using the standard troop hog pieces for troop area it uses a big molded bar roll cage piece and has a completely different look.

Instead of coming with a brute it comes with a elite and doesn't have the terrain piece and the plasma turret

God I have like a mega bloks warthog somewhere. Had a spartan and marine and a jackal I think. Loved it when I was younger.
If you still have them I’d love to see them. I’ve been so focused on the hogs that I really know little about the rest of the line especially older sets.

@@AllBricksCount Wait sorry I just remembered. It wasn't a warthog at all. It was one of those pick ups you find on reach and the spartan had one of those heavy machine guns.
Funny thing that my first Halo Mega Bloks set was the Locust and the warhog back in 2008 and now I regret losing that set butt at least I'd bought back the air Ambush set and that was my second set of Mega construct but that was in Holiday 2008 both set were given to me by Santa

My first wart hog was the gause hog attack. I broke it after it was built, due to me dropping it a foot off the ground to test “suspension” and I snapped the axel.

You could try eBay. Also if you are Canadian you can join my Facebook group facebook.com/groups/534675537276964/ .. you don’t have to be Canadian but it helps. Beyond that try other Facebook groups dedicated to Mega Blocks, Mega Construx or Halo.

@@alastor1554 sounds like a one off. Something I can acquire and won’t bother with. I try to be as complete as possible but I have to limit that to stuff I can actually acquire. ;). Retail sets and exclusives with a limited release but are actually in the wild.
It would be sweet to get a 1 of 1 though. Jealous.

I remember the original was such shit haha i had it and it and the turret just barely held together until you touched it
The early sets were miserable builds. Poorly fitting. Parts that wants to jump of the build when you looked at them. Just miserable.
Can someone link me a video of a review of the smallest warthog? If the title has the word "Hoglet" specifically, that would be even better.
edit: the biggest warthog will help too. Or any set numbers or names are acceptable. Preferably between 2018-today
If you look at this playlist a lot of the warthogs are towards the bottom of the list with set numbers in the name. However if you are looking for set numbers for the sets in this video they are included in the video. I haven’t built the 6 most recent additions to the collection that complete my collection for every warthog. Been meaning too but life gets in the way. Maybe this summer.
