Nice games. The sad thing for gigas is in g3 the crit mattered and if the Urshifu had any bulk then it was still a roll 😭

A strategy I love with Gigas/Slaking is Whimsicott Worry Seed :) love the Galvantula set
How good do you think the whimsicott worry seed strat is ? I thought about that acid set he was using but I’m currently using wheezing
@@zacheyea it’s fun even if its a little gimmicky. Prankster Worry Seed sets him up, and Prankster Tailwind if the opponent leads Fake Out (I run cloak on mine). Worry Seed can’t get redirected by rage powder since it’s grass type too

Very well played. It's great to see a team off meta. Almost every team I face is Flutter Incineroar Urshifu Ursaluna Bloodmoon Chi... Always the same thing. Seeing different teams winning is really good
Other fun ways to make Gigas decent I saw on a team as an alt-mod to wheezing when it feels safe: Eject Pack(Overheat) Torkel, h!Lilligant with Entrainment, Fast Gigas is fast... Think the rest of the team was Walking Wake and... I forgot, Torn maybe?

Unless they changed the mechanic, getting rid or “slow start” after it triggers does not do anything. It still needs to go all 5 rounds before it has max stats even if you gastro acid the ability away. This is why it was not hitting as hard as it should have early on.
I don’t think so. Normally when the Slow Start suppressed or replaced, it will undo the stats dropped. Not sure about gen 9 mechanic though.
@@tanadponsiratanon4159 I know that it will a not undone in sword and shield. That is why I stated that they may have changed the mechanics. However it is not clear in this video because regigigas did not get many early attacks. Only in the first video and it seemed to do way less damage than he would have next to a weeding.
Not sure you're right here. Slow Start has been suppress-able since its introduction. Bulbapedia says the only caveat is in the Japanese version of DP, you still had to wait five turns if removed, but they immediately fixed it in the localizations.
7:16 I was thinking about Grafaiai (which wasn't even on the team) Doodle Water Absorb into Regigigas to save it from Ivy Cudgel but then I realised it got Gastro Acid by the Galvantula lol
A fun way to use this strategy is Swift Swim Luvdisc and Entrainment

Ya same. Had him on my party during my first play through, and it completely mowed down Turo’s iron valiant, and I have tried to make a unburden swords dance sash set with acrobatics and flying Tera, but hasn’t worked so far sadly

It's all because of Raging Bolt, I think.
My Lando-I is the Pokémon guaranteed to come out in every game on my rain team. It just does so much damage and there aren't many flying types in this meta at the moment.

I do like the team but in ladder this teams getting stomped on usually slaking is wayyyyyy better then regi just slap a assault vest on there and run max attack and speed or put most of that into hp and a bit in sp def
Eh, the difference is pretty negligible imo. Same speed stat, attack stat, and typing. Slaking ends up taking physical attacks better and regigigas takes special attacks better. Biggest difference is the ability, which I'd argue slow start is better than truant in VGC if you fail to remove your ability. Yeah truant let's you get strong attacks off at least half the time, but knowing which turns you'll attack results in the opponent just playing around you with protects or fake outs. At least slow start can be stalled out and breaks sashes in the meantime lol.
Your teams are usually more fun then meta defining but I have way more success running slaking then regi just because of either running a band set allowing me to 1 shot almost everything in ladder with a couple of exceptions but these are also mons I’ve run into the ground since gen 3 so I’m always biased
