Love seeing John "struggle" like he did when cutting the MDF by himself and the plunge saw falling. Makes me happy knowing I'm not alone
Unless his saw broke, I'm still ahead of him in stupidity.
Definitely need more build videos. That's why I subscribed to this channel
Me too, and longer videos!
Feels like a long minute since I've seen a Malecki build video! Loved it, great idea!
So nice to see a build video. The TikTok and auction videos are fun, but most of us followed you for your down to earth approach to woodworking! Keep up the great work!
Must have missed that poll.
Agree!
My new FAVORITE Malecki vid...so dig the repurposing of bar into shelves and the spirits stash is awesomeness at its' best! Thanks for sharing John! Please keep rocking!
Beautiful, but you gotta admit it’s funny to hide a bunch of special reserve and leave out an old fitz 😂
Now you see the jokes hahahah
Love the vids, and LOVE this idea and build. As the son of a carpenter, I really appreciate the home build ideas. I get so wrapped up in standard remodels or small additions, that I sometimes forget the joy of a cool, creative project for our own home. Great stuff, John. At some point…I’ll take on epoxy. 😂
I really enjoy your channel. You have helped revive my passion for woodworking. Your channel is now the most enjoyable as far as the woodworking channels I watch. Your format and personality is easy to watch. It's nice that you have other people in your videos on occasion because it breaks up the monotony of one guy continuously talking into the camera (which a lot of your piers haven't figured out yet). Keep it up brother.
That's a beautiful makeover of the room! Love what you did with the raising desk mechanism.
This is everything!!!! Great build!! Thanks for sharing
John that turned out absolutely freaking awesome. Hope you get great use out of it for many years to come my friend. Can't wait to see more videos soon John and the gang. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Build On. Fab On. Weld On. Stay Squirrely. Keep Making. God Bless.
Great idea. I think that's my favorite part of all the builds.... problem solving that ends in some brilliant furniture. Very cool!
I swear to fuck. I am ALWAYS the most excited one of my buddies going "GET MORE EXCITED DAMNIT".
I work as a aging warehouse tech at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort Ky, rolling barrels into the warehouses, filling them, and dumping them, and being a fan for so many years, Its a honor to see your a fan of Buffalo Trace! I am so much a fan, been following made for profit, Im starting my barrel stave furniture making journey!
Pretty slick! Good idea using the standing desk mechanism!
So glad you did another build video ! Keep up the good work John
Oh hell yeah whiskey collection video for the win! Turned out really damn cool.
I feel like i should celebrate when my favorite bourbon channel comments on my video. Like the true bourbon fan girl I am ! Thanks Fellas love your stuff!
@@John_Malecki Oh Malort! The collab that no one knew we needed, but we so do. Shook and Malecki are spirit animals from the same damn forest. Cheers boys!
Looks great! We need more build videos.
John, a great video. You gave me some ideas of how to store and display my vast Scotch collection. Keep posting these great videos.
Cool build! Interesting look with the metal on the doors. I think it looks different in a good way
That is an awesome build John! Hope to see more videos of cool builds like that.
Glad to see build videos again. Wish it was longer. 20-30min would be great!
This was epic!!! Great idea!!!! From the creator side...as usual, epic job on the shooting, editing, music etc!! Loved it...
I want to do an L shaped desk for my office and seeing that slab for he bar is really getting me pumped to get started..
You know it's a good build when you are sitting next to your wife and she says "Thats awesome! I want one of those". Janky or not I do like the metal on those cabinet doors.
Thanks Charles, my wife also loved them!
Welding, woodworking & liquor - 3 of my favorite things!
The screws worked for holding the metal in. For a cleaner easier way to do it, try using a stapler made for picture frames. They are designed to install glass in the frame in a very clean manner
I really like the new chapters and transitions, good quality production, keep it coming!
*Builds cabinet especially for bottles* "Hmm, the only problem might be getting bottles in and out of it." 🤣🤣🤣
Gold!
That is awesome. Glad you all liked the bottle we sent. Thanks for the shop tour.
John:”Bourbon Collection”
Lagavulin on shelf:” Am I dead to you?”
Jameson on shelf:” Yea Fecker”
Hahahhahah
As a computer geek and bourbon lover, this is so satisfying on multiple levels.
Absolutely fantastic I so need 1. Great job👍
Fantastic work, John! Really brilliant the way you did it! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank God you still remember how to build things! I was getting worried you couldn't after S and J left.
Love these builds. Please keep them coming.
Another great real life project. Awesome!
That looks awesome especially the hidden shelf great job
I love this!!! Definitely one of my favourite builds 💪💪💪💪
THAT is absolutely sweet! I would have built a box to surround the metal box supports you bolted to the outside so that the rising bar box looked a little wider...who am I kidding, I would never have thought of bastardizing a standing desk. NICE JOB!!!
“Who am I kidding…”. Right there with you buddy! LOL!
This looks really, really good.
One thing that I would've done myself, and it's purely aesthetic as well, is to have the custom made brackets to have an extension so that it would hit the top as well, so it looks more framed. But that's just personal taste.
Looks great mate. Nice and clean and not really in the way of anything 👌
A project I can definitely relate to..... great job on the bar overall!
More of these videos please! Great stuff.
Try adding a bead of silicone to the metal door panels to prevent the noise/rattle. This came out sweet!
Love that this is another build video!!!!
Hidden Weller shelves just in time for the Wellerman Scandal to hit PA. Perfect timing! Nice collection and video as always, Cheers
I’m impressed. Great idea with the desk hack.
Always love watching all your videos, just wish you could post them more often
Look at all that Blanton’s! 😍 I make and sell lamps out of Blanton’s bottles. Great video!
I love it. I love the building aspect and some of the shenanigans of the channel. There's another channel I watch and she does building thing too.. April Wilerson did a hidden bar too.. please check that out. Great job though
This is so cool! Great job!
So amazing! Love it.
Looks like you just take a sip from each, no worries!
Another fun video, I love your show!
hUgz from Ohio, Lee
Looks wicked John glad to have u back. Missed yins last weekend. Keep the squirly builds coming. How about u Vs Lou on a 1 slab challenge like u did before with Sam and Jordan? Could get interesting!🏴👍
Finally! Missed the legit builds videos lol tiktok ones got old
Good bottles and a great buildout
Very nice build and bar area John.
I am tearing down an oversized 1 car garage and making it into a 20x30 2 story with ground floor being my whiskey room
Perfect timing on this video! I’m planning on building out a bar at our new house!
Seeing that many bottles of blantons makes me so jealous. I love blantons!
kevin james really has good carpenter skills, love you james
That’s very cool! I like it very much.
idk if you fixed it yet but for the noisy metal cabinets at 11:06 a cheap and easy fix without redesigning anything would just be to back the screws out, add some rubber o rings or even some rubber furniture bumpers and screw em back in. the bumpers would give more surface area for a tighter fit and would hardly be noticeable if you can find the right size.
So sick! Love this idea. Wish you made the covering flush all the way to the bar so it looks like a ledge instead of a box on the wall. Still sick!
I think this is amazing, I live in KY and Blue run is building a distillery here so excited! Awesome video
Scam comment?
That is totally next level, BRILLIANT work champion YIIEEEEEEEW
Great way to hide the good stuff. My Blanton’s only comes out for special occasions and people. I would have never thought of that, great build.
For the mesh, you could also use the stiff non bendable tabs for picture frame backing.
Dude! Would love something like that in my place - you rock!
I love Blanton's! Plus, Blanton's is my family! That's my mom's maiden name and it's like a great uncle or something! My uncle also has a HUGE Blanton's collection! Cheers!
so good to see a build video again
I love build projects like these
Awesome video. The Weller collection is STRONG! We just got a new boxer and named him Weller.
Hola!🖐This one looked like it was a lot of fun. Looks really, really nice as well. Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊
Very cool came out amazing
From S. WELLER: Excellent choice in bourbon. Great build. Any rehab project will be full of "surprises". Lag screws?
One thing about the noise with the metal inserts in cabinet, get some foam and put it around the metal thats touching the wooden part of the door! Will help tremendously!
3:39 shout out to coming in the back! 🤣
I'm a carpentry noob and have always dismissed it but u gave me a new impression of it's usefulness so I decided to build a loft bed with a live edge desk and it's costing less than buying one so thank you
I work at a cabinet shop/ sports locker shop and for sports lockers we use metal grating just like that and there is a clear rubber product that comes in a long line that we cut to size and insert between the metal and a little 1/8 inch line that we rout out. That would be what you’re looking for for those doors. I could get more information if you’re interested
Love the hidden cabinet. Maybe you could remove the screws and make the channel a little wider and then insert black vinyl screen splines. should be nearly invisible and will keep the metal from chattering.
Came out real nice, I just think you should throw two somewhat narrow glass or acrylic glass windows in the front of the "hidden" shelf so that you can actually see that beautiful collection without having to raise the shelf. Realistically, you are only raising it to add more bottles (which it looks like it's full already) or to open one and drink from (which it looks like they are all closed to be collected). So you don't really raise or lower the bar that often and the windows would give you a sleek, permanent way too look at the bottles, without having to raise it.
Yooo that turned out amazing! Great job!
Definitely one of the coolest things for a whiskey room.
Outstanding John
Now that's pretty cool dude.good work.
This is a really cool concept. Just got my wife a standing desk and think I may have to get another to do something similar to this
for the mesh in the doors you could have routed out some holes for some small rare earth magnets and epoxied them in if you used steel mesh, if you used an aluminum mesh, you could have routed a "half lap" joint on the back, placed the mesh and then made a small "veneer" to screw to the door and hold it that way.
You should've made some oversized glazing point type things to hold in that mesh cabinet facing. The screws do look pretty hacky for what is otherwise a a smooth and classy looking build.
You need another floating shelf set right at the max lifting height of the hidden booze rack so when it lifts up it looks even more awesome !
Excellent work Guys
That is awesome!
You had me a bourbon. Awesome projects!
Glad to see you build something again. A gun cabinet would be cool too
The new helper , looks like a young Norm Abram , from this old house!!
Used to love TOH when Bob hosted. “In reality, we’ve put in a full 12 hour day…”. No Bob, NORM put in a 12 hour day and you kept bothering him. LOL!
I like this I need to do this to hide the Blu ray movies it open up so much more room in my living room. Thank you for the video glad to see you putting out videos thank you
What a fun project.
I love this!
Make a box I can hide myself in ( from my wife)
Oh I just saw April Wilkerson do this! I like your take on it.
I love how the walls there are so malluable and easy to work with..in europe we have concrete and brick, so a lot less workable
Now enjoy it. Trick for the metal panels is to treat them like all other panels. You can cut a groove and fit them, or you can add a strip of wood behind them mounted to the frame. Or like you did here with the screws but I'm guessing they are loud because they are moving around? You'll figure it out but those were my thoughts.
