It's really more like Pkmn Master Red when you think about it because when you challenge him in the original Gold and Silver and Crystal games and the HG/SS remakes is after you obtained 16 Gym badges from both Johto and Kanto and already defeated the Champion Lance, so the fact you don't battle Red till after you beat the Champion Lance and obtain 16 Gym badges infers that Red is something greater than a Champion
Especially with the extremely high lvl 89-95 team of Pokemon no which is higher level than even a Pokemon league Champion after rematching him/her in the post game when the leveling of his team Increase further than what it was the first time

Nah I think of it more like this. Red at this point of the story lost the spark he once had for battling since he was literally the strongest and no one else could challenge him. And him fighting and losing to Gold reignited the flame and pushed him to become the very best again like he once was.
I think there was a handbook for GS that said the battle was so intense that Mt.Silver started to collapse so both agreed to stop the battle

@@sunnykhan920 I specifically raised a Snow Cloak Mamoswine to counter his Pikachu. Swung with Iron Tail, missed, likely from the Hail-boosted evasion. I One-Hit-KO'd with an STAB Earthquake.
His team isn't particularly broken, you know... Snorlax is Good, Blastoise is Ok, Espeon is fine, but Venusaur and Charizard were both kinda bad before they got the option to go Mega. If you've grinded up your team into the mid-60s and beaten the Elite 4 the second time, you could probably take him.

There was a time where me and my close friend were having a sleepover at her house, and she had a PC hooked up to a projector in her living room. Randomly, I went onto CZcams and started playing this theme, and yelled: "I CHALLENGE YOU TO A BATTLE!" She was so confused at first, but we battled in SW/SH and I won :)

Regarding Pokémon, the Sinnoh Gym/Elite 4 theme (Diamond, Pearl, Platin), the Johto Champion theme (Heartgold, Soulsilver) and N's (final) theme (Black, White).
Also, do you know the game Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon? One of the few Ubisoft games with a good soundtrack. I'm amazed there are hardly any remixes online despite it's awesome 80s inspired Wavesynth tracks. For example: Main theme, Power Core, Sloan's Assault, Katana, Sleeping Dragon, Resurrection

And yet here he is standing before me. He has something different than Blue does. With Blue it was about proving him wrong but with this kid it’s feels like something more than that. Two Champions... no Two Trainers about to battle to see who is truly the very best like no one ever was.

Gold is clutching his bag tightly. He's constantly checking his surroundings. After all, this is Mt Silver, one of the few places restricted from ordinary trainers. He is on the lookout for potentially dangerous Pokemon.
Red, meanwhile, has confidence written all over him. With a single hand in his pocket and the other on his hat, he lets the harsh blizzard blow without a second thought. He isn't looking for Pokemon. Over the past 3 years, he has fought everything nature could throw at him.
No, he's approaching the only thing that could pose a challenge: Gold
It's beautiful how much can be expressed by their body language, even if no actual words are exchanged.
I am 100% sure that Im not the only one feeling this way but it's been about 8 years since I've played pokemon and I am starting to get back into it and in a way....I feel like Red. I'll never forget Red. Guy standing up there was scary.
I only recently FINALLY beat this god forsaken battle, I have owned Heartgold for roughly when it came out and never was able to beat Red till now...and all it took was a Lv62 Feraligatr, a lv60 Ho-Oh and a lv64 Tyranitar...some throw in Pokemons and a lot of patience and Full Restores and luck of course. The relief after finally beating him after such a long time felt so damn good that I had tears of joy and relief running down my cheeks as the credits rolled.
