I like that thin wall board idea! My bathroom has some pretty damaged walls from years and several owners' worth of random placements of towel bars and hooks, but to gut the walls and redrywall would be so expensive!

What a beautiful laundry room! My area is just large enough for the washer/dryer. I can't believe I never thought of the shelf directly over the back of the washer and dryer. It would give me room to store my detergent and would certainly eliminate my dropping things behind and trying to fish them out. Thanks for sharing!
